i have these pills. I am pretty sure they were for nerve pain. I can't remember though. If someone knows what they could be. They are brown, round and have a 50 on one side and nothing on the other side. ## I located the round brown pill in description to be Bethanechol (Duvoid) 10 mg. Although its indications (listed below) don't seem to be related to nerve pain... Bethanechol is sometimes given orally or subcutaneously to treat urinary retention resulting from general anesthetic or diabetic neuropathy of the bladder, or to treat gastrointestinal atony (lack of muscular tone). it's round peach and has number1 and line between it and number 2 on botton ## The closest match I could find was a round peach pill imprinted with the number "21" on one side and a score line on the other side with a very small "I" above it. This particular pill is identified as Venlafaxine hydrochloride 75 mg, used in the treatment of depression & anxiety. Manufacturer: Aurobindo Pharma National Drug Code (NDC): 65862-0407 Does this sound like a possibility?

When I was a child in the 1950s, my grandmother would ask me to bring her "nerve pills" to her. They were a bright green capsule. What was the name of this medicine? ## I'm sorry, but that really isn't enough to go on to even make a guess. There were as many green pills on the market back then as there are today. Some medications have been removed from the market, some haven't. What they were used/approved to treat may have also changed, things have switched from being over the counter to prescription and vice-versa. Does anyone else have any ideas? ## My mom was on nerve pills in the late 1950s and we were trying to think of the name earlier this evening. We finally happened on Librium and when I asked her, she said yes, that was it. Looking it up, two of the dosage...

In the 1980's a Dr. gave me a green pill that made my tongue numb, if I left it there. Imagine what it does to the brain. Can you tell me its name? ## Hello, Hammer! How are you? Actually, that's not a valid comparison, because there are many medications that may cause irritation to the mouth, esophagus, stomach and various other organs, but are still beneficial in the body. Thus, the fact that it made your tongue numb doesn't necessarily mean that it did anything untoward to your brain, or any other internal part of your body. Now, moving on… that's not much of a description to go on, there are have been many green pills on the market, some that are still available and some that have been discontinued. Do you remember any other details about it? Anything else you ...

I recently had transposition of ulnar nerve, about a month ago. I am in horrible, chronic pain. Neurontin does not seem to be working. My pain management dr mentioned Topamax. How do I deal with this constant nerve pain. It is in my left hand, little finger and ring finger. ## I am very sorry about what you're dealing with, nerve pain is terrible. What is your current dose of Neurontin? You might do better with the Topomax, if your doctor thinks you should try it. It does work well for many people. Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, alopecia, anemia, and anorexia. Are you on any other medications?

Prior surgery in 2002 for spinal stenosis...bars and screws - sever stenosis above previous surgery ...Neurosurgeon prescribed Gabapentin 3 times a day for nerve block. ## Hello, Shirle! How are you? Gabapentin isn't actually a nerve block. The FDA actually classifies it as an anticonvulsant that can also help with certain types of nerve pain and some mood disorders. It can alleviate nerve pain, due to the way it works on the receptors in your brain. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes. It works well for some people, but not all, which is normal for all medications. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have back pain and my limbs get easily numb. So I went to a doctor who prescribed me trinerve lc. Is it a correct prescription? I am getting slight blood in my nose due to rupture maybe but I noticed this only after I started the course of trinerve lc. Does it have any side effects? ## The only actual medication contained in Trinerve is Pregabalin, which is an anticonvulsant that's also been proven to help with certain types of nerve pain. Learn more Pregabalin details here. The rest of the active ingredients are just nutritional supplements, a vitamin V complex. However, some B vitamins may cause some blood thinning, which could be causing your nasal problem.
