i take alot of meds and i want to know if some of my meds interact with this antibiotic ## I would like to know if SMZ/TMP DS 800-160 tabs Interpharm have any contraindicated effects with Namenda, or Donepezil. My 92 yr old mother was prescribed this drug for a UTI last week. She has Alzheimer's, however, since taking this medicine, she has become very agitated, shaky, much more confused & weakened. She also takes Metoprolol, Potassium CL, Omeprazole, Lisinopril, Citalopram, & Pravastatin Sodium. I have recently taken a drug screening and it came back that it was positive for amphetamines so I did a conformation test and it came back dextroamphetamines which I am not taking any medication that has that in it however I am taking wellbutrin and zantac which I think can have something to do with it. ## This can be caused by the Bupropion in the Wellbutrin, so you may want to make sure they know you're taking it. People always gain weight when they take it. ## An anticonvulsant medication like Gabapentin should probably not be used for it's potential weight gaining purposes only, just because others have said that they gained some weight while taking it. What drugs are given with or before the infusion of Remicade? ## My nurse gives me IV Benadryl and two oral Acetominaphen. I still through the infusion like a baby. :) ## I get Solu-Medrol thru the IV before they start the Remecade because the first time I had infusion of Remecade I developed rash on my ankles and thighs. They also give me 2 acetaminophen & oral Bendryl 250mg. ## What the others have posted seems to about the norm for those being given Remicade, though it can sometimes vary depending on a person's individual needs. in general, they are given to help prevent some of the possibly side effects, which the FDA lists as possibly including chills, fever, headache, and rash. Can anyone else chime in with their experiences?...
