I am in need of help AGAIN as my current pharmacy decided to stop filling one of my pain meds. I am in too much pain to go driving from pharmacy to pharmacy and I would like to know if someone can help me. I have seen with my own eyes people getting oxycontin filled, and then i am right behind the person in line, and am told that they do not have norco or ms contin..LOL give me a break, but they have the strongest med out there? I am sick over this still going on in florida. How come nobody has done anything about this yet? This cannot be legal to discriminate. I am not even on that high of a dose of the norco and the other med was ms contin 15 mg only twice a day! I am pretty sure i CANT call them and ask as last time i was told they cannot tell that info by phone. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!...

I have only been on suboxone for 4 days (8mg 1 time a day). It's my first time taking sub's. It's been 12 hours. I went to the hospital and they said I have kidney stones. I'm in a lot of pain. They gave me 10 mg norcos. I'm not looking to feel high just want pain relief. Please advise. ## Hello, Hope! How are you? Oh, I understand, I had a kidney stone a few years ago, and it was horrible. It usually takes about 3 days (72 hours), before other opiates will be effective for you, again, after taking Suboxone for a few days. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Did they give you anything at the hospital? IE: I mean while you were there to ...

I have tried to get some pain medication and I'm given tramadole. Waste of a script. It seems like people (Dr) feel like all people are drug seekers and not in chronic pain. What do i do to.get suboxen from.dr.curremtly taking narcos,i heard suboxen are better as far as pain.that you dont have.to take as many ## Hello, Sherry! How are you? Suboxone is actually a very weak opiate and doesn't adequately relieve pain for many people. Many have reported going on it and finding that they were in miserable pain, after switching. The FDA classifies it as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Are the Norco helping your pain? ## Hello I'm currently on opiates for pain. I have been that way for yrs now an I was told that liquid methadone well they call methadone suboxone strips or tablets an Subutex...

I had a work injury that crushed several discs in my neck and I have recently undergone fusion surgery which went well. However, I was not prepared for the pain I experienced. I have been on 10/325 norco for 7 weeks. I only took the Appropriate Rx amount or less; never more than 5 pills in a day. When I got to the point where I felt like I could manage the pain, I quit taking norco cold turkey. I wigged out. I experienced gnarly anxiety, mood swings, burning in my legs and feet, nausea, and elevated bp. I am trying to wean off the drug on my own but am super discouraged. Can anyone give me pointers on exactly how to do this? ## Have you consulted your doctor for advice? Your body will get used to any medication you take regularly, for awhile, even if you don't abuse it and take more...

I'm taking Norco for an achillies injury and have developed a UTI was given Phenazopyrid for the stomach pain. Will this be to much pain meds. Will they work ok together. ## well for starters how long have you been on narco !!!have you been under guidance then" it is alright if not see physician immediately "as this narco is combination of two drugs and has severe addiction hazards as well .however the drug prescribed is a urinary antiseptic for urinary tract infections it brings down the burning and pain associated with it and will "always be given for specific period of time " do not worry but my intention is you must not get habituated to "NARCO" ## Barbara stated that she is taking NORCO for an achilles injury! My husband has been seeing the same Dr. for 12 years or more, yet he refuses to write an RX for Norco but Will continue writing them for Dilaudid, morphine, exalgo, and allot of other schedule 2 prescriptions. This makes no sense. My husband had the entire right side of his body crushed in a car accident in 1984. He's had several spine and neck fusions and has sever chronic pain. In a notification I read on the internet, people were supposedly given a chance to voice their concerns. I don't remember getting that chance. I also suffer from chronic pain due to a moderate form of Sppina beffita. What do you do in a situation like this? ## Hello, Kat! How are you and your husband? I DON'T LIKE TAKING PAIN MEDICINES AND I WANT TO KNOW IF THESE TWO ARE THE SAME OR DIFFERENT. FOR IN MY SEARCHING, THEY DON'T SEEM TO BE THE SAME, BUT DIFFERENT.SHOULD I RETURN THESE AND REQUEST THE TALACEN FOR THESE SEEM TO BE STRONGER. ## Hello, Cynthia! How are you? Yes, they are different medications, though both are narcotics, but the Norco contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. Learn more Norco details here. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, the pharmacist couldn't have switched it, without your doctor's approval, so you should contact your doctor about the issue. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## THANKS, WILL ...

I've been getting norco made by Qualitest for a few yrs. now. I was given Vicodin 1st but I had problems with sweats and head aches. The Dr. gave me Norco by Qualitest and they worked great. They helped my pain without making me drowsy. They've been on back order for a long time and even the white ones are on back order. Should we expect the problem to be fixed soon or are the yellow norco gone forever? ## After speaking to my pharmacist about 4 months ago, he told me qualitest is actually manufacturing or taking over a lot of pharmaceuticals. Ive been taking suboxonr for 2 yrs, my insurance switched me to zubsolv which ive been on 1.4mg every 2 days for 5 months. It was dumb to fill it and i found a pharmacy to do it but i dont want to take them and now im affraid my regular pharmacy will see that and not fill my refular zubsolv prescription. Any thoughts on this, please help!f ## Your dr will also see that the two rxs were filled. ## @jess, I believe the only honest way to know for certain what the pharmacy will do regarding your situation is to ask them directly. They will always adhere to their stringent policies, so if you don't get the answer you're looking for from them, then it seems to me like it would probably also be a go...

I just had eye surgery and was given Norco (4x a day) and Motrin (3x a day) to take for pain, can I take them at the same time or do I need to space them out? ## Hi Chris, Hope you're recovering well from the surgery. From what I could gather, there are no drug interactions listed between Norco (acetaminophen + hydrocodone) and Motrin (ibuprofen). So I don't see why it wouldn't be ok to take them both together if that's what you need to do in order to achieve adequate pain relief. Also as long as it's the same doctor who prescribed both, I think that he/she would've informed you up front of any possible risks involved with doing so if there really were serious consequences to be had. I hope this helps!

My brother takes 30 mg morphine tablets by prescription every 12 hours. He complains that he is in pain all of the time anyway, even though they are better than the norco 10 mg that he was taking before. My sister-in-law takes norco 10 mg, 6 per day, and he has been begging her to give him 2 - a - day to take in between his morphine. He has, of course, not told his doctor. I want to know what combining these two will do to him? Thanks ## Well, first of all, it would be illegal for her to give them to him and for him to take them, since they are not prescribed for him. Both of them, if caught, could face heavy fines and jail time. Now, if he did take them, since he's opiate tolerant, he would most likely just experience more side effects, such as nausea, dizziness and drowsiness, as ...

I was prescribed 60mg Morphine ER twice a day with 10mg norco up to 6 tablets a day for 2.5 years. I always took it as prescribed never asked for early prescriptions. A few months ago my rheumatologist sent me to a pain dr for management because he said I am too young (35) to be on this many narcotics. The new dr is super nice and you can tell he wants to medicate me to manage my pain but has changed my medication around all over the place to doses that are too low or medications that don't work or cause side effects. I was managed on the morphine and norco and told him I didn't need him to change anything but to just give me a new rx. Because of the DEA and FDA he wanted to see if there were medications that would help that aren't as controlled by the DEA. Because of the ag...

Am on 10-325 mg I go to pain management I can't find my bottle of meds am in pain. 8 days before appt will they see I haven't had my meds ## Hi Vicky, Sorry to hear about your situation. Personally, I think you should be upfront with your doctor about what happened, having misplaced the bottle. The main reason I say this is because I think they do have the ability to tell what levels of medication should be in your system vs how much isn't there. Given the circumstances and type of narcotic, it's easy for them draw false conclusions that you're selling them, but I feel that sincere honesty goes a long way when you are earnest and straight forward with your words. I have my fingers crossed for you and pray that everything works out to your benefit! Be well! ## They ca...
