I am 39 years old. I have 4 herniated discs and 3 slipped discs my pain is sometimes too the point I can't move.I took 10 mg. norco witch worked then I moved to Cincinnati Ohio and the doctor I found wanted me to take Methadone and I don't like it, I just want too go back to the Norco. Please help me find a Doctor that can just give me what I need. ## Hi, Amanda! I'm sorry you're having such problems. There are probably several issues at play here that are causing them. One is that due to the increasing rates being found of improper prescribing and over prescribing, general practitioners and surgeons are being transitioned away from prescribing medications like Norco for long-term pain management. An attempt is underway to transition those to only being used for short pe...

I have just been cut off from my doctors for taking too many norco. I've been on them 20 years, have severe tmj and no way to fix it, i am now without anything and am really on the verge...... I need a doctor or if anyone knows anyone where i can get rid of the pain. I was laid up for 3 days with this problem, can someone help? please ## You should probably been on a extended release med, since your pain is chronic. Also, always consult your doctor if your doseage is not no longer working for you before taking more than prescribed. Norco is not a good med to be on for a long period of time due to the tynlenol. Bad for your liver. Besides all that, where do you live? Maybe we can find a doctor for you in your area/ state. Sorry your in pain. Donna ## I live in temecula and like i sai...

I have osteoarthritis all over and cannot take anti-inflammatories. I have been in pain management for years but the doctor recently changed and the new one wants to do stuff like burn the nerves off my spine and run a wire up my spine and into my neck for a permanent tens unit. I do not want to do these procedures! I do not (and never have) abused drugs and always take them as directed. I need a pain doctor that will prescribe a long acting (extended release) like Opana or Oxycontin AND Norco or Percoset 10/325 for break thru pain. AND one that will not try to do dangerous procedures on me!

Can anybody recommend a pain management practice near Aurora IL to treat back injuries? The challenge is that many non narcotic medications have not been working well for me and I do not feel good from drugs like Lyrica. I would ideally like a clinic where they would be willing to review my medical history in full and prescribe an appropriate treatment. ## One difficulty you may be creating for yourself is by trying to insist on a certain narcotic medication. Many doctors see this as drug seeking behavior. It is actually much better to let your medical records speak for you, whenever you see a new doctor, that way they can see what has been documented by other doctors and they are more likely to take that under consideration. Therefore, you should always make sure to take a copy of your...

Having a total knee replacement done in March have tried every type of therapies for pain, including CORTISONE and ORTHOVISC, but nothing helps... Doctor put me on Norco (5mg. / 325 mg.). It takes the edge off of my pain. (Also forgot to mention I'm dealing with severe bursitis in my hip in which I'm having the knee replacement surgery done on...) But still in a lot of pain. Can I asked the Orthopedic Surgeon to up the dosage to 7.5 mg. / 325 mg.? Also, is it safe taking this medication for two months prior to my surgery? Need some relief from pain until March... (Had my other knee replaced 5 years ago and took Norco 10/325 for 5 weeks after surgery to help with pain especially during therapy.) Anyones advise on this question? Thanks Much! Happy New Year to All!!! :-) ## You can...

I'm having difficulty finding a good doctor who doesn't scrutinize or is skeptical to patients for wanting pain meds, Norco 10/325's for pain is what I have been prescribed in the past for my medical condition. Please Help if you can refer me to a good doctor who listens and understands the patients! Thank You! M ## Hi, Eme! Sorry about the problem you're having and that you're in pain. No one should have to suffer. However, doctors have no choice but to be skeptical and scrutinize. If they don't and their prescribing practices are found to be questionable, they risk losing their license to practice medicine. The best thing you can do is to set up an appointment with a new doctor and then make sure that they receive a full copy of your current medical records. If...

My mother in law doctor retired and wrote her a script for a 30 day supply of 80 oc's and she can not get in to see her new doctor till july, she has a print out of six months showing that she has been on the meds, where in the Knoxville area is a doctor who will see her on short notice and refill her script for 30 days till she see's her new doctor? I can not bear to see her go thru withdraw ## It is going to be very hard to find a doctor to prescribe them as just a one time thing, with her not being their regular patient. It is highly possible that her new doctor won't want to prescribe them, regardless of the medical records she has. Does anyone have any ideas? ## Does anyone know of any physicians or pain clinics in south orange county that will Prescribe opiates (norco,...

I have had 4 back surgeries, 1 neck surgery, 1 rt knee surgery, and 1 rt shoulder surgery. I've been on many pain meds but now what works for me is 10/325 norco. I dont want anything stronger. I'm sure im addicted but cant function; without them i need that little relief to maintain my sanity. I have been labeled a druggie. What is really going on here when we put animals in pain to sleep and let humans suffer? Just saying. ## Who labeled you a druggie and why? What type of doctor have you been seeing? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Does anyone no of a good Dr. And pain clinic near thomasville ga. 31792 Or valdosta .ga. or Albany .ga. or Ta...

Hi there, I'm currently coming off kaiser insurance and am looking for new PM specialist. I've been taking 10/325 norcos, 1mg clonazepam, Percocet and promethazine syrup. I was in a bad accident about 3 years ago and have had consistent back and lower sciatica pain that keeps me hobbled over all day and keeps me awake at night. Doctors have been turning patients away and lowering thier doses left and right, I'm just looking for a solid refferal to a legit doctor who will listen and not make me feel like I shouldn't be asking, all kaiser doctors make it awkward when talking pain pills. I've been searching and calling but so far nothing has hit other than a doctor in Hollister but he was just let go two months ago! I NEED HELP! SOS! I just want relief and I don't know

Need an pain clinic too treat my pain i have had 2 knee surgerys and taken 2-3 Norco 10 is not treating my pain i also have back pain ## Try TVPC/Spine and Neuro Center in Huntsville. Dr Morris Scherlis is my anesthesiologist and he is great. My only issue with them really is that for office visits I have to see one of his two staff members and the guy(Greg) is kind of an ass. Sorta condescending and suspicious of patients it seems. Also, I have a few other issues besides my back/sciatic pain and I was on several different meds for it including Ativan for anxiety/stress and ambien for sleeping problems due to my pain...I've weaned myself off both of them in the past year and done the same with my muscle relaxers. I was so sick of taking so much medication I just had to do something....

For pain. I've had two back surgeries and am still in pain and numbness. I have been taking my pain meds as needed. My doctor wrote another prescription.butthey both said 1 every 12 hours as needed so I took them as needed for pain. Can I get the second script filled? ## Are they the same dose and same medication or are the prescriptions different? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

Need help! I been on six,6 Norco a day and he has brought it down to 2.5 a day. I have talked to my doctor about the amount of pills he makes out my prescription for. He won't increase the amount but he will give me something stronger but I don't like them. I want to stick with what works for me. Can you tell me of any doctor that will help me in Tulare, Visalia area? . ## Unfortunately, due to the risk of Acetaminophen overdose from taking too many Norco, you're really not going to find a doctor that is willing to prescribe that many. They have to be very cautious, because since it's available over the counter, many people don't realize that taking too much Acetaminophen can be very dangerous, or fatal. You can learn more Acetaminophen Overdose Information here. Wha...

Why do pain doctors have the right to judge you because you have pain? My goodness, it's on my MRI. What's wrong? I'm not lying about my pain. The problem with Norco is that they prescribed them to people who most certainly didn't need them, so those of us who really do need them have to suffer. These doctors need to be investigated, not me. Money and egos impaired their judgement. No more Marcus welbys that really care. Understand that innocent people are the ones who have to pay the price for these doctors' poor judgement. My advice is go under cover. You'll catch them. Especially Hillcrest pain doctors in Tulsa Oklahoma. They all go to the same country club I bet. I'm just saying somethings up. ## For me it's been tuff finding a pain doctor that always...

All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results: {link removed because site no longer exists} You can give this other page a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another: wellness.com/find/pain%20management%20specialist Alternatively, you can have your primary care doctor refer you to a new pain management doctor or clinic. I was rear ended by a Semi 15 years ago and have various back problems that are only getting worse. I have SI joint dysfunction, degenerative disc disease, facet something, sciatica bulging disks, and the list goes on. I have already had 6 lumbar shots, 2 SI shots and 1 epidural in the last 3 months. NONE of them have helped and some have made me worse. I have been on Norco 10's for 5 years. They now do nothing for my pain. I need something stronger and I do not know how to approach with my pain management Dr on my next visit? I do not want to seem like a drug seeker, but I want to be able to participate in life. Play catch with my son, empty the dishwasher, mop the floors. I also take Lyrica, Valium and Zanaflex (which is a joke and does nothing for me). I have built up a tolerance...

I have an injury of my neck and shoulder and I'm on Transfix 50mg and Percocet. I was prescribed the Percocet every 6-8 hours but I only take 1/2 at night. My doctor won't refill the prescription which lasted me 3.5 weeks, instead of if I took it as prescribed would have been gone in 7 days. It's for the breakthrough pain so I can sleep. Is there anything else I can take? I vomit on Norco and Vicodin. ## Do you mean Tramadol 50 mg instead of Transfix 50mg ? If it is pain that keeps you awake, ask your dr if you can take Tramadol at night. If you just can't sleep, talk to your dr about something to help you sleep. It is best to not take something to help you sleep for more than a short time. ## It's tramadol 50mg not transfix (autocorrect) that I'm on and the neck...
