Does a small light green tablet with break line for 1/2 a dose imprinted A 214 help treat chronic pain? ## I have been looking for information regarding the connection with ptsd and chronic pain. I have been diagnosed with ptsd from a a car wreck that occured in march of 09. I substained several injuries. To mention four fractured ribs, a fractured collar bone and a possible fractured neck. I understand that I have had time for my injuries to heal but I am still experiencing severe pain, even in parts of my body that werent injured during the wreck. I have been told two totally opposite things about this. One is that I must have a severe/chronic injury such as spinal damage to experience chronic pain with ptsd. The other thing I have been told is that with ptsd you do not have to experi...

I have herniated discs in my neck and a traumatic brain injury resulting from combat exposure. I am prescribed and have [for almost 2 years] taken 30 mg of MS Contin 3 times a day for neck pain. Due to reasons too numerous to list I do get headaches which result in sleep loss and incapacitation due to the severity of pain. At first my Dr would prescribe Percocet for the head aches which take a pattern of 3-4 head aches every week for about 3 months of the year. Then he prescribed Morphine IR 30 mg prn before he decided that although the short acting opiates work for the pain and allow me to function through a head ache, prescribing them to me was hazardous (for head aches) and he believed I was "self-medicating" to deal with stress. * to the Dr.'s credit I do suffer from psy...

My husband has a blood clot in his stomach he wants to take Celebrex also because he has back pain the doctor don't want him to take the Celebrex because it contain aspirin what else can he take can he take ultram ## Hello, Ga peach! How are you and your husband? Celebrex does not contain Aspirin, it is just in the same drug family, so it can cause the same risks. There are many other analgesic options available, but with that blood clot and his health, only his doctor is going to be able to tell what he can and cannot safely take. What options did his doctor offer? ## Hi, For back/neck pain I think your husband should consider seeing a chiropractor for treatment. I don't know where you're from, but if you're anywhere near Centreville, VA... there's a good place call...

I'm done now and finished 12 week tx 4/14/15 and I can say back pain, neck pain and pain in the legs is now a part of it for me. I was dealing with the head aches and sick feeling. Still feel sick and fatigued with joint ache. Hoping all of this stops soon. I'm tired of being sick ## Hello, Mike! How are you? Those are all typical side effects of Harvoni, as reported by the FDA and other users. They should improve with time, now that you've finished your course of treatment with it. Other side effects may also include diarrhea and insomnia. How well did it work for you? It seems that many have had good results with it. ## I was wondering if your joint pain has gone away . I am 55 in good shape and all my labs are normal except viral loan shows 1mm and slightly elevated enzym...

looking for doc in indianapolis area for pain meds. Fell off a horse and landedon my neck. My doc will only give injections. ## Hi! Sorry that you're in pain. Is there any chance that your doctor can refer you to someone else for pain management? The reason I'm asking is because you're in the part of the U.S. that was hit with the new regulations as of April 1st of this year, due to very high rates of over prescribing and improper prescribing of controlled substances…and due to these new regulations, general practice doctors are greatly restricted in what they can prescribe and how long they can prescribe it. Thus, anyone requiring long-term treatment for pain will need to be referred to a pain management specialist and the easiest way to get an appointment with one of...

My wife has suffered due to severe neck pain and back pain from yesterday . The same problem, she faced last year and recovered after lot of treatment. I need solution, why it happened suddenly once again and how to recover from this problem (Medicine and Food) ## I am sorry, but no one is going to be able to diagnose the problem and provide you with a solution from just a short post on a website. She needs to be examined by a doctor, who can run the proper tests to see what is causing her problem and then can talk with her about her treatment options. There are many reason she may be experiencing such problems with pain. It could be something related to nerve damage or irritation, so it may be neuropathic. Has she contacted a doctor, yet?

I suffer from Ankylosing spondylitis and have terrible muscular back and neck pain. I have taken pain killers but the side effect on my kidneys and liver have been severe with my creatinine levels shooting up. Can someone suggest any alternative remedies for my pain? Any help will be God sent. Thanks & Regards. ## Please consider consulting a neurologist. ## I'd consider taking Forever Aloevera Gel in the morning on an empty stomach. I have seen a person getting almost pain-free due to this without taking any pain medication. Also avoid eating bread and bread products as it triggers the pain. Hope this helps you. ## I have been prescribed indocap Sr at night and rablet 20 in the morning before food for treatment of Ankylosing Spondylitis. After taking it for 2/3 days only, I beg...

How are you? Thank you for serving our country and I am very sorry that you were injured. Are you seeing a VA doctor or private physician? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. I'm assuming you mean Beaumont, TX? If you require regular, ongoing treatment for chronic pain, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. There are also no guarantees that such a doctor will prescribe anything. You'll need to set up an appointment, make sure they receive a full copy of your current medical records and then discuss your treatment options at your appointment. Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone? Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that ...

so i have been taking methylprednisolone for three days. I am having pain in my sides/ribs upper back and all the way into my neck and some of my cheek bones. the pain is about a 5 out of 10 on the scale. I have had this problem before with prednisone. what do i do? ## Hello, Courtney! How are you feeling? I'm sorry about the problem you're having. The FDA classifies this medication as a steroid and it can cause some pretty annoying side effects, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, insomnia, nervousness, headache, acne and weight gain. Have you consulted your doctor? They may have some idea on how to mitigate these effects, or they can let you know if there is something else going on. How long is your course of treatment with it?
