I started Butrans 10 mg last Friday. On the following Monday I started to feel dizzy and nausous. Then by Thursday I was dizzy nausous and felt like I was having a hard time breathing. Took the patch off and did not put another one on. I am still feeling dizzy and nausous but I can breathe now!! How long will the dizziness and sick feeling last. I was only on it a week!! ## Hello, Debi! How are you doing? Are you feeling any better? It may take a few days, before the side effects completely wear off and you start to feel more normal. Due to the breathing issue, you most likely did the right thing by taking it off, because it can cause respiratory depression which has the potential of being dangerous. Have you contacted your doctor? You should check with them to be sure that all is well.

was on sertraline 25mg for 2 weeks with dreadful side effects. Changed to Citalopram 3 days ago. Very tired, headache, always aware of heart beat banging and feel nausous. Is this normal and when will i feel better. ## Hello, Stoneroses! How are you? I'm sorry that you're not feeling well. Yes, those symptoms can be normal, when you stop one medication and start another. As listed by he FDA, you may also experience dizziness, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes. It may take about 3 to 5 weeks on the Sertraline, before things settle down and you start to feel better. If things don't improve by then, you should consult your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi Verwon, feeling much better thank you. Managed to ride the storm of Citalopram and still on the...

I take prescribed oxycodone 5mg with v on one side and 48/10 on the other. Tonight I think I took two at the same time by mistake instead of my usual 1 mg lorazapan for sleep. Instead of drowzy i feel nausous a little dizzy and too alert. is this normal and will it pass? Thank you ## I see this was posted a few days, so probably a little late for the answer, but I will still post it for future reference. Yes, those effects can be normal, in some people, when they suddenly take a higher dose and they will wear off, either when you return to your normal dose or your body adjusts to the new dosage. And just so you know, in the future, doubling up on a narcotic like that does create the risk of overdose, so you should know the problematic signs to watch out for, which may include shallow br...

I have bipolar. I've been taking gabapentin for 2 years now. I just changed pharmacys & getting a different manufacture of the gabapentin. I have been crying about an hour after I take it & get nausous. I have never had this problem before. Do u think it could be the way its manufactured? ## Hello, Cindy! How are you? There can be slight fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient from one generic to the next, or when going from the name brand to a generic, so that might be what's causing your problems. It sounds like the new ones might be a little stronger than the one you were taking, before. Both the nausea and the mood swings can be normal side effects of this medication and would be expected with a dosage adjustment. You may also experience dry mouth, dizzin...

I am 16 and in my first month of taking loestrin. i have been sick to my stomach on and off every day since i started. I only at the end of my first week and am considering stopping especially after reading about the side effects of others. How long does nausousness last? ## Hi, Nan! Sorry about the nausea that you're experiencing. However, it's difficult to say how long it will last, because it can vary from person to person, but side effects to hormonal contraceptives like this may linger for as long as 2 to 3 months, while your body is adjusting to it. Nausea and the other side effects you've read about are possible with any form of hormonal contraception, including the patches, shots and IUD. The best thing to do would be to contact your doctor to discuss your concerns, ...

I don't know if I should stop taking this kind and try a new birth control or not. I don't even want to get out of bed. ## Is there a chance that you may be pregnant? Those are not typical symptoms associated with taking OCs. They may cause some nausea, but it's usually mild and temporary. ## There could be a chance.
