Nasal Congestion

difficulty breathing through my nose. No watery eyes, coughing, runny nose or other problems related to allergies. Simply can's get enough air. Problem cause slight dizziness and orientation. Use Saline Nasal spray frequentally, but get only sligh relief. ## Have you consulted a doctor? If you have had problems with allergies in the past, it is possible that your sinus membranes are swollen and may require medical treatment to try and bring them back to normal. That happened to me, when I was younger and my allergies hadn't been diagnosed for many years. Another possibility is nasal polyps, which can block the air flow and would also require medical intervention.

My nose continues to stuff up even after taking my prescribed drug, Clindamycin. I am taking three 150 mg doses every 8 hours, with some relief. ## Clindamycin is an antibiotic, as listed by MedlinePlus, it is used to treat bacterial infections, by itself,, it will not help alleviate nasal congestion. It may also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, non-allergic skin rash, and headache. If your congestion is due to an issue, such as a sinus infection, it will take several days of taking this, in order for you to start seeing some improvement. How long have you been taking it? Are you on any other medications?

Been on otc decongestants for more years than l can remember. I have 3rd stage COPD and need all the help l can get. At witts end. Thank you for your responses ## Hi hart, This is a random question, but do you eat a lot of dairy products? If so, it could be contributing to the congestion and COPD; mainly because dairy is mucus forming and acidic to our body. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Because doctors and pharmacists only offer "treatment" options as opposed to curative ones, I'd also suggest consuming a lot more fruits and vegetables in your diet. This should help allieviate the symptoms associated with COPD, including any congestion. Eating this way is a lifestyle change however, so it's not something you can just do for a couple weeks and expect all you...

## I have been a Nasal Crom user since Oct. o7. Began using it as a treatment of outdoor mold allergy. This was on my own. My allergy caused chest congestion, fast irregular heartbeat and Afib. This spray has been like magic. Nothing else had given me any relief. We live in Salt Lake City and it is terrible for outdoor mold. Even in the winter--it snows quits drys wind blows and I am in the doctors office. ## My husband just started using NasalCrom for chronic cough that he has had for years. The doctors had tried everything including sinus surgery, prescription sprays, mucinex, nasal rinses, etc. etc. The pulmonary doctor finally said he was giving up but to try NasalCrom. The cough stopped almost immediately. We feel it is truly a miracle after all these years of misery. ## Wow! I am ...

I have been given this as a preparation called Rhino hexal for nasal congestion by a greek pharmacist (i'm British on business here - dont speak much greek!), all the instructions are in greek, and i just wanted to know dosage (he said 1 puff 3 hourly) and if its safe ## This took some searching, since it's not available in the U.S., but I did find the information for you. The dosing is actually 1 to 3 puffs every 8 hours in each nostril, as needed. Learn more Xylometazoline details here. Side effects may include blurred vision, dizziness, headache and nausea, so you may want to make sure you aren't going to drive after you use it, until you see how it affects you. Is there anything else I can help with?

What can i take for nasal congestion ? I get nasal congestion when i take prazosin hcl. ## Hello, John! How are you? Unfortunately, I've found that most stuff on provides minimal help, but if your doctor approves of your trying it, you may benefit from an antihistamine, such as Benadryl, or Flonase nasal spray, though they can sometimes elevate blood pressure, so it's best to only take them, if your doctor approves. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

whats it d prmanent solution of nasal congestion due tn polybs ## Hello, Uzma! How are you? Sorry about the problem you're having. The first step that has to be taken is discovering and resolving the cause of the allergies by getting proper treatment, be it with antihistamines or immunology. Next, the polyps need to be shrunk or removed. Steroid nasals sprays can help them shrink over time, or surgery can be done if they are very severe. What treatment has your doctor recommended?
