MY DR TOOK ME OFF MSCONTIN 60MG AND PUT ME ON E658/100 MORPHINE SULIFATE. I AM AFRIED TO TAKE IT, AND MY PAIN IS STARTING TO HURT REAL BAD. I HAVE CONJESTIVE HEART FAILURE, I DO NOT WANT MY DR TO KILL ME ANY FASTER. WHAT WILL THIS MORPHINE FEEL LIKE WHEN I TAKE IT. BEING THAT NOW IT IS A 100MG. ANY BODY KNOW BECAUSE I PANIC REAL BAD LIKE THE SKY IS FALLING IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. ## Morphine is exactly what you were already taking in the MS Contin, that was just a name brand for the time released formulation and this is a generic. Any effects you experience, when taking it, should be similar to those you experienced when you first started taking the MS Contin, such as dizziness, nausea, dry mouth and constipation. Is this same doctor aware that you are suffering from CHF? Narcotics can...

I have been taking suboxone for a week, only 8 mg a day, but over 24 hours ago i only took a half of a 8 mg strip, will I be able to feel pain mess now. It's been 28 hrs since i took half strip. ## @Akc, Due to buprenorphine's long half life of 24 - 60 hours (as reported by samhsa.gov), I would probably encourage you to wait a little longer in-between stopping suboxone and starting narcotic pain meds in order to get the most out of them. If still in doubt you could also take a drug panel to gauge how much suboxone is left in your body. But that might be more trouble than it's worth v.s. just waiting it out for an extra day or two. I hope this helps! Please post back if you're able to update us on how things went.

When one first goes on methadone or changes Dr's, what are they looking for in the blood test? Are they testing for heroin/opiates/methadone or all of them? Isn't that what the urine test is for? Just curious. Thank you. ## Usually your blood work is for health reasons because you're being proscribed medication..this is a very common blood panel given anytime you are prescribed narcotics... to test the heart, blood sugar and immune system... so that methadone does not cause a fatal interaction due to an underlying problem
