HEY DOES ANYBODY KNOW ANY PAIN PATCHES THAT START WITH THE LETTER N ## Hi Wormie, Based on my research, Norspan patch (buprenorphine) is the only relevant match I'm finding that begins with a letter N. The manufacturer advertises it towards treating chronic severe pain when lower doses of strong opioids are being considered. However, further notes from the Rational Assessment of Drugs and Research (RADAR) suggest that more familiar opioids such as morphine are generally more preferred for managing chronic pain since they also tend to offer a broader range of dosages and formulations. If a person is sensitive to it or the dosage is high, it could cause hallucinations, but there is no way to for us to say for certain it is this medication, since this site is not medical professionals. In the 70s there was an OTC analgesic you could buy for pain. It was not Aspirin or Tylenol. It began with the letter "E". (It wa not a compound; Excedrin.). this pills shape is like a rectangle that has rounded edges. its white. and its name either starts with an o or a b. its a form of a weaker lortab. it was perscribed for my friends back pain, what is the name? ## Are you possibly thinking of Opana? Hello I'm trying to find out the new pain medicine that kids are taking today that replaces the pain pill oxycontin. I saw a show on TV about this but I can't remember what It's called? I think it starts with the letterA? It's the new drug craze today. ## The only one I can think of offhand that starts with an A would be Actiq, it contains the narcotic Fentanyl, which is over 80 times stronger than Morphine and is available as a lollipop, it's a formulation used for slow release of the medication. The V doesn't stand for the name of the drug, it's the logo for the manufacturer, Vintage Pharmaceuticals. My son just called me from the hospital. He said they're giving him narcotic pain medication through his IV that starts with the letter B. ## It could possibly be Buprenorphine, it is an opiate that is also used to treat drug addiction, but helps with pain for some people. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Another possibility is Butorphanol, it carries the same risk and causes the same side effects. Can he ask them what they are giving him?

QI am looking for a good mild/moderate narcotic for break through pain . I am allready on hydro/norco 10/325 and it only las about 3-4 hours and thenn wears off. Any sugestions. I have been on percocet (10mg) 5xday, Oxycontin (80mg x2 & 40mgx1 a day), Motrin 800mg 4x a day, Soma 350mg 4x a day for YEARS. I WANT OFF - how do I control the chronic pain that started all this? I have read that using buprenorphine in a different way than in Saboxin (which I would want to use for withdrawal) is not legal in the U.S. but used in other countries - is there something I can do/try? I do PT, I have my own TENS mach., relaxation tech, I walk, lost weight, go to counselling... I have a sister who was given Zofran through an iv during labor and they said that their baby now has narcotics in her system. Is Zofran considered to be a narcotic? ## concerned no Zofran is not a narcotic , its for nausea. they may have given her something for pain in her iv, but they wont give her anything that would harm the baby, ## I was just wondering it would not happen to have any in epidural would it? I apologize if I say something that is out of line/unable to disclose-not my intention at all, please let me know. I am seeking a general practitioner just because I need a doctor. I didn't realize how much I depended on my pain management doctor to handle all of my medical concerns. He's written me antidepressants, called in an us for a kidney stone, diagnosed a minor heart condition, and many other things. I was recently dismissed for violating my pain mgmt agreement and when I asked what I should do, I was told my only hope is a methadone clinic or suboxone.
