I want to know the ingredients to see if this particular medication is compatable with Tylenol #3 ## It is not quite the same as Tylenol # 3 ... Tylenol # 3 contains the active ingredients Acetaminophen + Codeine, whereas what you are referring to "HydrocoAPAP 75750" contains Acetaminophen 750 mg + Hydrocodone 7.5 mg (which is basically a generic Vicodin ES). Both are narcotic pain killers, but they do differ by one major ingredient. Do you have any other questions or information to share? Please post back if you do...

My oxycodone-acetaminophen 10-325 is made by AMNEAL PHARMAC. This a different manufacturer than I had previously. I can't take them, even though severe pain (deteriorating spine, several autoimmune diseases, etc, and I break them into small pieces...they "wire me up", feel like I'm chewing the paint off the wall, and if I take more than 1/4 of one pill, even early in the day, I can't sleep, sometimes for 36 hrs or longer. I take Ambien 10 mg for sleep, I may dose for an hour, two if lucky. Is this normal for this drug? Is this a good manufacturer? Would I be better off if Dr can get a prior authorization for Name Brand. Thank you. ## Hello, Margaret! How are you? Yes, narcotics can do that to some people that take them, as listed in the side effect information provid...

I am going through therapy for my back and need spine surgery. I have been taking percocet for the past year now and my Dr wants to change my medication. He suggested something that starts with the letter N but didnt spell it right for me. Does anyone know of pain medication that starts with that letter. Not Naproxen, it's not an anti inflammitory ## It's supposed to be for nerves. ## Probaly Neurontin which is used to ease nerve pain. ## Or maybe Norco ## Those would be my best guesses, as well, since they are both used to treat pain, just in different ways. Neurontin is an anticonvulsant that's also been shown to help with nerve pain, it contains the active ingredient Gabapentin. And Norco contains the active ingredients Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, so it's a narcoti...

I am wondering as far as strength and pain relief when comparing darvocet 5114 V to lorcet 10/650 as far as ingredients and side effects mainly ingredients ## The Darvocet is a much milder narcotic, it contains 650mgs of Acetaminophen and 100mgs of Propoxyphene, which is the mildest available. The Lorcet contains the Acetaminophen with Hydrocodone, which is much stronger. They are both narcotics, so the side effects are about the same and can include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. You can read more about them here: Do you have any other questions?

Does the hydrocodone-ACETAMINOPHEN contain lactose? I am very lactose intolerant. It causes lots of gas & bloating, which causes considerable more pain. Not a good thing when I'm taking it for severe pain (lower back). What are my alternatives? ## I'm not certain which one you're asking about, since Mallinckrodt does manufacture several in different dosages, but so far from what I've found, none of them are listed as containing lactose. The inactive ingredients are listed as being: crospovidone magnesium stearate microcrystalline cellulose povidone corn starch silicon dioxide stearic acid You can learn more Vicodin details here. Since the Hydrocodone is a narcotic, it can cause constipation and some gastric upset, so what you're experiencing may just be due to th...

What are the ingredients in Optalidon and is it addictive? ## Hi Gail, From what I could find, caffeine and propyphenazone are reported to be the two active ingredients in "Optalidon N". Neither are a narcotic or opioid, but propyphenazone does have pain relieving and fever reducing properties. As far as addiction is concerned, we all know that caffeine can be abused. However, when it comes to the other ingredient propyphenazone, I haven't come across any specific details stating whether it's addictive/habit forming or not. Though, if you take it as prescribed there really shouldn't be any problems with that?
