I am taking take 30 mg morphine extended release tablets for shingles and lower back surgery. Can you also take Vicodin for pain In between 12 hour tablets? ## Hello, Butterfly! How are you? I am very sorry that you're in pain. Yes, you can do so, as long as your doctor approves. They are often prescribed together to try to gain better pain control. The FDA classifies these medication as narcotic analgesics, so they may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I take Suboxone for fear of ever being back on the evil Methadone and it's working wonderfully. But I get horrid migraines and have these Butal with 30mg COD and was wondering if withdrawal would take place because of Naloxone? Bbuck ## It won't hurt. It won't help. You'll simply waste the meds ## It is the COD that is actually the narcotic, that stands for Codeine and the Naloxone in the Suboxone will neutralize it, so there's no point in taking it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you consulted your doctor? They should be able to help you determine what medication may help. ## I have felt Norco 12 hrs after suboxen. I still fe...

Does a white oval pill with ip465 or 123 has narcotics in it at all ? ## Hello, Tammie! How are you? No, neither of these tablets do. The one with the IP 465 marking is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 600mgs of Ibuprofen and the one with the 123 marking is manufactured by Marks's Pharma and they list it as containing 800mgs of Ibuprofen. The FDA classifies Ibuprofen as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation and increased risk of bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is Naproxen Sodium550 MG every 12 hours as needed a narcotic? Is it ok to drive while taking this med? ## Hello, Cookie! How are you? It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Its typical side effects, as listed by the FDA, may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Thus, it would be best to see how it affects you, before driving while on it. Is there anything else I can help with?

Doctor said that Cymbalta is a narcotic !!! was put on x strength Tylenol ,Motrin and gravol every four hours !!Went cold turkey due to the side effects being so bad and now suffering the withdrawl effects ## I have taken cymbalta since 2005.. She upped my dose to 120mg and recommended I tKe 1 in morning and 1 at night.. My brain zaps start around 3pm ## No, Cymbalta is not a narcotic. pill is small and blue looks like a check mark on the front. and the back is the number 12/48 ## Did you, perhaps, reverse the numbers? Is it V 4812? If so, then this tablet contains 30mgs of Oxycodone, a narcotic pain reliever. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Read more: ## I usually take roxicodone 30mg made by mallinckrodt its a lite blue with an M on one side and 30 on other, and this month my pharmacy ran out of the M's and I got stuckwith these crapy 12 48 with the V or check on it. What type of effect do you think Lyrica will have on a first-time female patient that weighs 125lbs? ## Depends on the dose. I am a 140lb female who was on no medication & took 150mg & was totally wiped out to the extent that i would hurt myself & not even feel it but dependence grows quickly & the withdrawals are the worst ever - google it & read the horror stories. Please please approach this drug with caution, especially if you have an addictive personality. ## Hello, Peg! How are you? Lyrica is not a narcotic, nor is it related to them. It is actually not any type of analgesic. It is an anticonvulsant that has also been shown to help with some mood disorders and certain types of nerve pain, due to the action is has in the brain. Its typical side effects may possi...

Is there a medication called percocet 5125. If so, what is it, what does it look like what mg is it? ## No, the medication name would just be Percocet, it contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen, so it's a narcotic pain reliever. Sometimes numbers do follow the name to designate the dosage, but there is no Percocet on the market with 5mgs of Oxycodone and 125mgs of Acetaminophen. However, there is on that contains 5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. It is made by several different manufacturers, so the markings on them will vary, depending on who made it. Are there any markings on the pill in questions? If so, please post back with this information and I can help you further.

found this pill... stamped cot127 (t actually looks like a upside down backwards capital L).. thank you ## I found this pill CO (upsidedown L) and the number 127. What is it? ## The letter you think is a T or upside down L is actually supposed to be an R, this is a common mistake because of the way they shape it in their logo. Your pill is Tramadol 50mgs, this is a non-narcotic analgesic.

I found some pills with 123 on one side and PMS I 20 on the other. Could someone please help verify what these are ## Hi Robert, Based on my research, the pill you have is most likely manufactured by the Canadian pharmaceutical company "Pharmascience". I haven't found enough reliable information to accurately identify your pill but from what I can gather, it could possibly be Ritalin. Ritalin (methylphenidate) is a central nervous system stimulant and is used to treat attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and narcolepsy (an uncontrollable desire to sleep). Here is a link to the Pharmascience's contact page if you'd like to ask them about the pill you have: pharmascience.com/canada/contact-us/ I hope this helps!

Has anyone taken 10 mg hydrocodone tabs 1to 3 tabs at once to help with your pain. I want to know what I can expect in the strength of 10 mg er once taken . Is it the same as 1 hydro or much stronger ? I have some breathing issues taking 10 mg OxyContin but not with 15 -30 mg. IR 30 mg oxycodone. ## The FDA considers oxy and hydro to be morphine equivalents, but some feel oxy is stronger. Zohydro is a 12hr er med. Depending on how often you were taking oxy, to replace a 10mg er dose your doc would probably start you at 15mg or 20mg Zo and adjust from there. A problem with taking three ir norco doses at once is that each dose usually has 325mg of acetaminophen. While many docs feel that up to three grams of acetaminophen a day not a problem, it serves to analgesic purpose for real pain a...

it is called PMS-Methylphenidate. AKA Ritalin. DO NOT use as an aspirin, nor give to someone who never had this before. It is somewhat of a strong dosage, 20mg ## Since it is not Aspirin, it would not be effective for pain, fever or headache. Methylphenidate is a stimulant used to treat conditions such as ADHD or Narcolepsy. Side effects may include: nausea, headache, anorexia and insomnia. Read more: Dosage is usually calculated based on the severity of someone's condition. Are there any questions or comments?

After a long career as a Firefighter and suffering through various injuries on the job I think I have tried a lot of different meds. A quick health history. Separated shoulder, broken ribs, surgery on both knees and back( L4-L5, S1). My narcotic history in order was Tylenol 3 and 4. Percocet, OxyContin up to 120mg a day, statex ,MS Contin, Dilauded, Butrans and finally now on Fentanyl 100 MCG every 48 hours I'm worried I have hit my narcotic wall and I'm worried that if any other more painful health issues come up I won't be able to get proper pain relief. Any experiences or medical opinion would be appreciated

pain doc prescribing Didadid, Oxycontin,Precocet, and Valium s all at once to a 120 pound lady who suffers from a pain disorder and bipolar as well these meds are combined with the already use of bp meds Always in depressed state also using needle for the daldid double doses ## Narcotics can cause depression, because witht he way they work, they are basically like taking a downer. If it is severe and constant, then the medications/dosages may be too strong for her and she should speak to her doctor. All are very strong medications, though several are often combined to help bring severe pain under better control and give the person better relief. The problem arises when the side effect of the medications are so severe that they are affecting the person's quality of life as bad or wor...

Is lyrica a narcotic i just got some 100 mg to try i take neurotin 800 mg 3 times a day ## No, they aren't narcotics. ## Hello, Kaylee! How are you? BL is correct, thank you BL for your helpful post. To be more specific, these are both anticonvulsants that have also been shown to help with certain types of nerve pain and some mood disorders. Typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight gain. That said, no, you shouldn't take both, because you would be essentially doubling up on the same medication, which could result in overdose. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I take both. pink capsule ## This is generic 65mg propoxyphene. The brand name is Darvon-N or Darvon-R depending on which one you have. It is a narcotic used for moderate to severe pain. It can cause euphoria, constipation, dizziness, drowsiness, blurred vision and has a potential to be addictive. ## I'd like to add some updated information… As of 2007, Propoxyphene and its relatives have all been removed from the market in the U.S., Canada and most other countries due to the extreme risk they caused of cardiac dangers, as well as an inordinate number of overdose deaths. You can learn more Darvocet details here. Are there any questions or comments?

I started taking my antibiotic and percocets 10 is there any problem taking them on da same day ## Hello, Luis! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between these two medications, but it's always best to double check to be sure. However, I can also tell you that these are often prescribed together, to treat an infection and the associated pain. The FDA lists the typical side effects of antibiotics as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Percocet is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I've been using the fentanyl patches for 4yrs now. Mostly Mylan brand (best out there). But the pharmacy switched to watson brand because of cheaper price. Here's the problem, for the last 5 months 6 patches out of 15 per month don't stick. They fall off within a couple of hours. Do you recommend some kind of cover tape that I can use? Because of the problems with these products I'm losing a lot of $$$. PLEASE HELP!!! Can someone please get back to me about this. Thanks for your time. ## Hello, Shawn! How are you? There is a cover tape available for them, most pharmacies carry it, so you may want to talk to your pharmacist about the problem. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects,...
