I am hoping it wont hurt him if he has taken some before, can you help me? ## Hi Chris, welcome to our site. Your little brother made a bad grab for wanting to get high. I found these pills in my boyfriends Truck? What are they for? He orders medication from Mexico and I don't trust Mexican pharmacists sometimes. Not the products but the people that sell the items because they did not go to school as long as our pharmasists do here in the US (6yrs.) ## Naproxen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that is used to relieve pain, fever and swelling. It's the same active ingredient that is used in Aleve, but higher dosages require a prescription. Side effects may include: nausea, headache, stomach irritation and risk of bleeding. Taking mylan nifedipine er and teva naproxen 250 mg together alright? ## Hello, Doreen! How are you? No, it might not be safe for you to take any NSAID, if you have high blood pressure. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications can sometimes cause elevated blood pressure as side effects, along with fluid retention, which can further contribute to the problem, so you shouldn't take them, without your doctor's approval. Nifedipine is a calcium channel blocker that's most commonly used to teat hypertension and certain cardiac conditions, its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

I found this pill in my kids room...just wondering do people abuse this drug? Please let me know ## I heard that some people have used it recreationally ... just wondering..I'm worried and am hoping my kid is not hooked on them.. ## Naproxen will not get someone high, it is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. It is commonly sold over the counter in a lower dosage as Aleve or generic or store brands. This is, however, a prescription strength tablet, so your child should not have it. It is illegal to have this without a valid prescription. The other operative question you may want to look into is what your child thinks it is, do they think it is something they can get high off of, like a narcotic? Have they been taking other medications that they shouldn't be?

I've been taking naproxen and lyrica for shingles pain, but my blood pressure is up and I have swelling on my left side. Do these meds interact? ## No, I didn't find any interactions listed between them, but it is always best to double check. Both pain, and a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory can cause you to have elevated blood pressure, according to FDA and AMA reports. How high is your blood pressure and how much Naproxen are you taking? The FDA also warns that Lyrica can cause hypertension, though it is a very rare side effect. It could be that this just isn't the right medication combination for you. Have you tried an antiviral for the Shingles? It can often help shorten the duration of them, and lessen the symptoms.

Help! I've been taking Naproxen off & on for a complaint in my hands & they give me such awful stomach cramps & seen to cause me to be more tired & lose concentration etc that I stop taking them & just suffer the pain in my hands as its less bother than the aparant side effects from the Naproxen. Am I alone with this or does anyone else suffer? ## Naproxen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so the tiredness and etc. can be normal side effects, they are also well-known to cause stomach irritation, because they can cause the stomach to produce more acid. Have you discussed these problems with your doctor? How high of a dosage have you been taking? There are various solutions that your doctor may be able to help you with, such as lowering the dosage, using a diffe...

I've been diagnosed with Intracranial Hypertension age 21 an have been prescribed both naproxen and tramacet!! Does any one know if I can take the two together????? ## Hi little one, Based on my research there are no drug interactions found between the active ingredients in Tramacet and Naproxen. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. That said, I would personally feel safe taking the two together. You may also want to consider adding some natural alternatives to the mix (such as essential oils), in conjunction with a diet high in potassium and magnesium (more fruits and veggies). I hope this helps!

I have been taking naproxen for heel pain but whilst on it i got a really bad dose of head cold and also took a cold and flue capsule. I experienced a tight chest( probably the cold ) and became a little breathless with exertion, so I stopped taking both. Doctor said I had a chest infection and gave me antibiotics. After my cold cleared up and i finished the course of anti biotics i started to use the naproxen again and once again noticed breathlessness. I have now stopped taking them as it is mentioned to be one of the side effects, I wonder how long does this drug remain in your system, as after 30hrs without them i still feel a little breathless. ## Hello, Jackie! How are you doing? No, it shouldn't still be causing it that long after taking it. Have you ever had high blood press...

Next month, after 3 yrs of unbearable pain, Im finally getting back surgery! (new disc, screws, plates, & rod ) My question is, Ive been on 500 mg of naproxen twice a day for over a yr. How long would it take to clear the nap. out of my system to safely take voltaren 75mg. Norcos are causing such painful constipation that it isnt worth it. Steroids were the best thing ever for reducing the inflammation & thus the pain but I cant take them anymore as they drove my blood sugar so high that i am, for now anyway, a diabetic. Hope someone can help me. Thank you! ## I'm very sorry that you're in so much pain! That's horrible! I was on 35mc/hrt Transdermal patches. My gp has told me I'm to be taken off the patches and use co codamol at highest dose he can give as well as diclofenac at the highest daily dose. I have osteoarthritis in my top part of my neck and my last 5 discs are slowly coming together. I also take 1000mg of naproxin daily as well as 30mg Amitriptyline per day. And I'm still experienceing chronic pain.

Am I going to feel anything from this? Can I drive.? Any side effects I should be concerned with? ## Based on the description provided, I found your pill to be Naproxen sodium (550 mg). Naproxen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug commonly used for the reduction of moderate to severe pain, fever, inflammation and stiffness. I personally don't think it is so intense that you would be unable to function or operate machinery, but I would honestly recommend asking a physician or the doctor who prescribed it to you for clarification on that, as 550 mg is one of the higher doses of Naproxen that I've seen. For more information about this drug, please refer to the link below... If you have any more questions or concerns, please post back and I will be happy to help you.

I have taken 220mg naproxen sodium and 1000mg acetaminophen. Can this hurt me? I woke with fever and pain in head and shoulders and had those available so I took them. Now I am worried as I am feeling dizzy and have a stomach-ache. ## Hello, Jim! How are you? Did you experience any other adverse issues? Those aren't dangerously high doses of either, but mixing them could cause you to experience more severe side effects than usual, you may also experience headache, increased risk of bleeding, and easy bruising, according to the FDA. Thus, it is usually best to stick with just one, unless your doctor instructs otherwise. ## Yes or No please: Does Naproxen contain acetaminophen?

can 40 of 500 mgs of naproxen and 20 of 15 mgs meloxican cause death? ## Both are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, which are known to be toxic at very high dosages, so yes, it is possible. Those amounts would exceed the known daily tosic levels of these medications and can be very dangerous. If someone takes more than the recommended dosage, your should contact your nearest emergency services and watch for danger signs, such as: extreme nausea and vomiting, trouble breathing and lowered heart rate and blood pressure. Can I take naproxen 440 mg & hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325 tb & 10 mg of cyclobenzaprine together? I fell down the stairs and have tremendous back spasms when I move at all. Thanks. ## According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), there is a high interaction potential between Cyclobenzaprine and Hydrocodone, which states that taking the two together may increase your risk of certain side effects (such as: loss of balance, dizziness, slurred speech, confusion, changes in mental awareness & slow or shallow breathing). They go on to note that if the two medications are deemed to be required, your doctor may adjust the dosage and/or frequency of dosing in order to lessen these risk factors. I hope this info helps and that you get aro...

small circle shaped with GG 724 on one side and nothing on the other side ## I was just wondering if this pill is a muscle relaxer or if it is a high dose of valium? ## Actually, it is NEITHER of those choices. This is Naproxen Sodium 250mgs, a prescription strength of the same stuff you will find in Aleve or its generic equivelents, but a little stronger of a dosage. It is a generic for Naprosyn, so it is neither a muscle relaxer nor a Valium, nothing related to either of the two.
