Is it like a lower tab. can i go to work on it? ## I've been taking Naproxen (500mg) for muscle spasms in my back. I take it with food and it still causes nausea and a bit of disorientation...I don't drive for a few hours after I've taken the pill. However, I do not take a Naproxen until I've come home from work. I find that a combination of Naproxen and Cyclobenzaprine (anti-inflammatory) will ease my discomfort in a matter of 2 - 3 days. ## Hello, I believe the next lowest dosage is 375mg. Naproxen also comes in lower dosages of 220, 250, and 275 mg. There's no way for me to know if u will be able to go to work on the 500 mg tab because everyone reacts to medication differently. If you're worried about that, maybe try the 375mg dose. If you were prescribed 500m...

Next month, after 3 yrs of unbearable pain, Im finally getting back surgery! (new disc, screws, plates, & rod ) My question is, Ive been on 500 mg of naproxen twice a day for over a yr. How long would it take to clear the nap. out of my system to safely take voltaren 75mg. Norcos are causing such painful constipation that it isnt worth it. Steroids were the best thing ever for reducing the inflammation & thus the pain but I cant take them anymore as they drove my blood sugar so high that i am, for now anyway, a diabetic. Hope someone can help me. Thank you! ## I'm very sorry that you're in so much pain! That's horrible! I took my naproxen at 4: o'clock pm can I take acetami/ codein with no side effects. I am health my arthritis have me in pain. ## Hello, Sally! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. I believe you meant to ask if there were any possibly dangerous interactions, or contraindications and, if that is the case, no there aren't any listed that I could find, but it's always best to double check such information to be sure. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

oxycod apap 5 325 mg or naproxen 500 mg which is better for neck pain and back pain ## These are two very different medications, which treat pain in different ways. The Oxycodone with Acetaminophen is a generic for Percocet, it is a narcotic (opiate) analgesic. Thus it does carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation and drowsiness. Learn more Percocet details here. But the Naproxen is just a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Its side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation. Apo-Naproxen. This drug is elevating my blood pressure I have taken four 500 mg over 3 days how long does this take to get out of my system ## It could take a few days, before things return to normal. However, for future reference you should be aware that nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories can cause elevated blood pressure, as well as fluid retention, as side effects, as reported by the U.S. FDA, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. How much were you taking and how long were taking it?

After six hours of taking hydrocodon-acetaminophen5-325 can I switch to Naproxin 500mg in order to drive safely, or should I wait longer? ## Hello, Rose! How are you? How is the Hydrocodone affecting you? Is it making you dizzy, drowsy, or making you feel high? If so, you definitely won't want to be driving, while feeling like that. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause other side effects, such as nausea, dry mouth and constipation. Otherwise, you should be able to switch, if your doctor approves. However, Naproxen is just a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so it likely won't alleviate your pain as much. Is MOVA 500 a prescription drug? I have arthritis of the spine and wonder if this is better then taking prescription pain killers? ## This contains 500mgs of Naproxen and no, it is not a dosage that is available over the counter. It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, that is used to treat pain, swelling and fever. When it comes to taking any type of pain killer, there aren't really any that are better/safer than any other. They all carry risks, even the over the counter products. Side effects for this one can include: nausea, headache, drowsiness and stomach irritation. Read more: Are there any comments or questions?

Hi. I took naproxen dr 500mg 6 hours ago, but I have still a lot of vaginal pain that I'm dealing with. Can I take ibuprofen 600 mg now while breastfeeding? ## No, you should not combine them, since they are both nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, thus that would essentially be doubling up. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. How severe is the pain and how old is your baby?

I am taking 500 mg. of naproxen, with 500 mg. of metamizol sodico and tylenol. I am worried about any drug interactions. this would be short term use for a bad back spasm. ## Oddly enough, I'm not finding any specific drug interaction details relating to Metamizole or its brand names. I'm assuming this may be a foreign medication, as that would explain why it's not listed in U.S. drug interaction checkers. However with regards to Naproxen and Tylenol, there are no drug interactions listed between the two. So I get the sense that you should be fine taking those together. Is your current doctor the one who prescribed Metamizole with the other two medications? If not, you may want to double check with him/her just to be on the safe side. I hope this helps!
