I found this pill in my kids room...just wondering do people abuse this drug? Please let me know ## I heard that some people have used it recreationally ... just wondering..I'm worried and am hoping my kid is not hooked on them.. ## Naproxen will not get someone high, it is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. It is commonly sold over the counter in a lower dosage as Aleve or generic or store brands. This is, however, a prescription strength tablet, so your child should not have it. It is illegal to have this without a valid prescription. The other operative question you may want to look into is what your child thinks it is, do they think it is something they can get high off of, like a narcotic? Have they been taking other medications that they shouldn't be?

my doctor prescribed me this medication for menstrual cramps & he recommended to take it daily for 2 weeks, why should i take it for 2 weeks when my period will bother me only for 2 days? ## Probably as a preventative, the symptoms that cause menstrual cramping actually start to build up for awhile, before the bleeding actually starts. Are naproxen 500 Mg tabs gluten free? ## @Wm1202, From what I could gather, the inactive ingredients in Naproxen 500 mg tablets are as follows: -[Croscarmellose sodium]- This comes from wood pulp or cotton fibers. It contains no sugar or starch. -[Povidone]- This is made from synthetic polymers -[Magnesium stearate]- 'Well, we know magnesium is gluten free...' Having seen that list I think it's safe to say that any Naproxen containing this particular set of inactive ingredients is deemed gluten-free. Please be aware however that binders/fillers may be subject to change from one product to the next. I hope this helps!
