Does anyone know of Dr who prescribes MS Contin for pain in Louisiana? Close to Slidell, I just moved here from Tx, and have tried one dr and called numerous with no results. I have been using Dextromethorphan 60mg Sr/ER for pain management. I was prescribed this medication, which is made in a compounding pharmacy by a doctor in California who is actively involved with the NIH(National Institute of Health. This pain management doctor uses off label medications, but is light years ahead of the traditional pain management doctor, who goes through their steps of the various epidural, nerve blocks, a multitude of other treatment that all the other pain management physicians practice, all the way up to a spinal cord stimulator or pump. I live in central new jersey, and lost my dr. of 10 years. I did 5 years in physical therapy for some issues. I am now forced to leave my dr. and desperately need another immediately. If you require such a medication on a long-term basis for chronic pain, you will most likely need to see a pain management specialist. Do you have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, then it would most likely be easiest to have them refer to you someone. If you're looking for addiction treatment with Methadone, you will have to go to a treatment clinic. Under the current U.S. laws, private doctors cannot prescribe it for addiction treatment, that can only be done in a clinical setting by those that are specially trained in its use for such. I’m posting because I’d really love the names of some good doctors (private or otherwise) in or near London who aren’t afraid of prescribing Xanax and don’t see it as the world’s drug. I am an addict and did control my addiction with suboxone. From the beginning it made me sick to my stomach I stayed swollen, and never had any gritty up and go about myself. Well I tried the subutex on my own and the stomach issues were gone the swelling subside and I have more energy and gumption to get out and enjoy life. I am very low income and rely on my family for transportation. If anyone can give me names of doctors that will prescribe me the subutex in or close to Beckley west virginia and/or in Logan west virginia and accepts Medicaid I would forever be thankful for your help. Everyone seems to give advise but no information we can use to get help. ## Put Pain Management Doctors and your city and state in google and the names of the drs in your area will come up. You can also go to websites like Healthgrades and Vitals to find the name of pain management drs in your area and things like the education and training of the dr. No one can tell you what a dr will and won't prescribe for anyone. If you have insurance, contact your insurance company and ask for pain management drs in your area that accept your insurance. Healthgrades and VItals do list insurances that drs accept, but the list is Not current.

Hi, My current doctor has decided that it would be best to stop my monthly prescription for 30mg percocets. I have chronic back pain from skiing injuries and other sports related problems. I have never abused or taken more than was suggested. I never got "high" and was always able to work and interact with clients in a positive way.
