I am very concerned and confused about why generic Adderall brands are so all over the place!! I usually get Aurora brand and I'm fine with it but last month I got this corpharma brand crap, it made my stomach ache and gave me a headache! It was terrible. Hello All: Eight years ago I had a gastric bypass losing from 294# to 117# (too low for a 61 yr. old female). Currently 145# & feel good from weight standpoint. I have had many adversities from the bypass with 4 subsequent small bowel resections. I cannot absorb generic meds. This leads me to excess costs on all of my meds. I used to take Barr 40mg IR a day (30 in AM, and 10 in afternoon). I wanted to try XR, and was able to receive name brand Adderall XR from Shire 30mg in morning and 10 in afternoon. I started my med journey 6 months ago, titrating up 5-10mg a month with Barr IR. I had side effects in the beginning of my journey, but they subsided. My insurance only pays for the brand Adderall pills and does not support the generic. The doctor started me off with 20mg of XR daily. After a couple weeks, those didn't seem to work as well so she upped my dose to 30mg XR. I was looking at the 20mg and comparing what they looked liked to the 30mg. The 20mg had on them M.Salts or something like that the name Adderall wasn't listed anywhere. Both pills are oblong and orange; the 30mg says AdderallXR 30mg right on the pill. I recently got the pink round 30 mg tablets and I find they make me tense up a lot more... sore muscles, shaky, hard to get motivated because I'm so distracted from the negative side effects... I agree with you all in the difference between the peach oval generic pills vs. the orange round generic pills. The oval ones - I stay focused throughout the day at my job with almost no side effects. Recently, my normal pharmacy who I have picked my prescriptions up from for the 7 years switched to the round orange ones. Assuming they were the "same", I took them. The first day I already could notice a HUGE difference! My biggest complaint was the headaches! Not to mention very irritable, fatigue, weakness. I am a male 45 years old and psychiatrist diagnosed me with ADD. It took me years and years to finally admit I had an issue so I looked for a psychiatrist. She started me on Vynase and worked my way up to 50mg, I did last long for me so the other day she switched me to Adderall 30mg. I picked it up this morning and was a generic brand and on the orange capsule says R3061. I took one at 730 this morning and did not feel anything except a couple hours later very lethargic. I know I was not suppose to take another one but I did and did not feel anything. I've had it with the generic Adderall CVS brand Actavis. I used to take the brand name and had no issues. Switched insurance and can take the brand again after 5 years. If the doctor changes dose will the pharmacy fill it a week early? Im changing from generic to brand. ## If it is a time released formulation, they usually will fill early if the dosage is changed. Recently... my local Rite Aid switched their adderall manufacturer and it's caused me quite a bit of trouble. I noticed I got a slightly different shade of blue pill once, but I didn't think much of it and took it anyways. I started noticing that the effects weren't as strong and that I needed a lot more, often it flat out didn't work. I asked my doctor to increase from 15mg to 20mg. I went to fill the 20mg and I found out they changed the brand to Aurobindo. Really angry, I'm going through finals week and I literally have no medication that works right now. i have noticed the changes in all adderall..whether talking ir or xr, adderall brand names or other manufacturers (sandox ect) not at all the same effects ## Well. there can be some variations from one manufacturer to the other, in both the active and inactive ingredients. When you know which one works for you, you should keep track of who manufactured it and go back to the same pharmacy you got it from.
