Yeah, Dr Ley and DORN associates were good, but the DEA shouldn't have dismantled their operation w/o providing a list of doctors. Now the DEA has our records, so many can't find anyone to even take them. He and the DEA are to blame for this. Ive been on 160mg of methadone for 2 years but i cant Feel it at all, if i switch to subutex will i feel Them? ## @drew, According to The National Alliance of Advocates for Buprenorphine Treatment (naabt.org), it is recommended that patients slowly reduce their Methadone dosage down to 30mgs for a period of at least a week, BEFORE attempting to discontinue it completely - AND THEN waiting at least 36 hours before starting Buprenorphine. They also go on to emphasize that patients "MUST" be in a mild to moderate state of withdrawal before taking their first dose of Buprenorphine. I am seeking help. I am from the Winston-Salem area of North Carolina. I am an addict of 18 years. It is time to quit. I have friends who have left the addiction circle. They have successfully taken buprenorphine. Here is my problem. I am severely allergic to the blocker in suboxone - naloxone. It is not an option for me. I have a dear friend who gave me her remaining subutex tablets. She tapered off and is clean and doing well now. I have been clean for 1 week which is a PHENOMENAL accomplishment for me! I am afraid of what will happen if I cannot find a doctor who will prescribe the subutex. Please, will someone out there lead me in the direction of a Physician/MD/Doctor that will write me Subutex? Hello everyone. I just moved to Charlotte, N.C. from Iowa due to a job transfer. I had a very understanding Family Physician in Iowa; he rxd me 4 of the 8 mg. Subutex per day. Nonetheless, I had to give up treatment in order to continue to be a father who provides. I need a Doctor or clinic or shrink to prescribe me the Subutex. I cannot tolerate the Suboxone - it sends me to the emergency room. I am almost out of my last prescribed supply of Subutex.
