WHY WHY WHY don't you put the otc pills name and what they are for on the tablet because if they get out of the original box, one has NO IDEA what they are and WHAT THEY ARE FOR. It is most dangerous as some people don;t have computers and cannot look up what they are and what they are for. If they gave the wrong pill to a young child, it could potentially kill them ## I'm sorry, but this site does not manufacture any medications, of any type, this is an information only website. As to why they are not marked, it is because the FDA does not require that to be done with over the counter medications, it is completely up to the manufacturer. That is why it is always best to leave medications in their original containers. If you would like to voice your concerns to the FDA in regard...

Zegerid Otc Omeprazole + Sodium Bicarbonate

Omeprazole, sold under the brand names Prilosec and Losec, among others, is a medication used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, and Zollinger–Ellison syndrome.[1] It is also used to prevent upper gastrointestinal bleeding in people who are at high risk.[1] Omeprazole is a proton-pump inhibitor (PPI) and its effectiveness is similar to other PPIs.[7] It can be taken by mouth or by injection in...

What happened with OTC Drixoral? ## The tightening of the laws governing the distribution of Pseudoephedrine, which was one of the active ingredients in Drixoral, caused them to reformulate the product in an effort to keep it available on store shelves and not hidden behind the pharmacy counter. That said, it now contains Phenylephrine, which unfortunately has never been tested and proven to work as well as Pseudoephedrine. There are other products that still contain Pseudoephedrine available, but you must ask for them at the pharmacy counter and, in most cases, sign a form to purchase them There are also restrictions on the amounts you can purchase at one time. ## A Sam's Club pharamcist in Wichita said one could get a prescription equivalent identified as CPM/PSE, made by someone ...

You can learn more Potassium Chloride details here. And OTC is not a drug, that stands for Over The Counter, which is used to describe anything you can purchase on the open market and don't need a prescription, special license or etc. to buy. How can you tell if acetaminophen is a rx or just otc? Is the dosage a clue? ## Based on my own research I found that Acetaminophen (also known as Paracetamol) is an ingredient contained in many OTC and prescription medicines. For the most part, Acetaminophen would be found in typical OTC drugs such as, Benadryl, Tylenol, Theraflu, and many more medications along similar lines intended for normal colds, flu, and other minor to moderate pain. As for Acetaminophen in Rx, I found it to be similar dosages, but I believe the main difference is what drug they combined with Acetaminophen to give it a stronger effect. For example, I saw Acetaminophen used in conjunction with Oxycodone, Codeine, Hydrocodone, and other serious drugs intended to be for a more serious matter. But those are Rx of co...

I would like to know if anyone has used this and their opinion. I am also looking for a store that sells this product. ## Contac Allergy/Sinus Day medication contains Dextromethorphan + Acetaminophen (APAP). Both of these ingredients can be found over-the-counter at your local drug store (Walgreens, CVS, etc). I personally haven't used this medication, but I do highly recommend trying out raw local honey if you do suffer from bad seasonal allergies. Eating raw local honey can actually relieve seasonal allergies. It is said to work much like an allergy shot in that it exposes you to small amounts of allergens to help your body build immunity to the allergens. When bees pollinate to make honey, they bring back allergens from the flowers, trees, and other plants. This leaves small trac...

Is there any health risk to the additional sodium bicarbonate? or other concern? ## You really just have to keep in mind that pretty much every drug poses some sort of risk in the form of side effects. In my opinion the additional sodium bicarbonate shouldn't be much of an issue or any issue at all if the dose is small. Some side effects that you might expect after having too much sodium bicarbonate are: • increased thirst • stomach cramps • gas • severe headache • nausea â€&...

Just had back surgery and ran out of percoset over the weekend and am in great discomfort. Even though I can refil tomorrow, what can I use in the meantime to get me by? ## I see this was posted a few months ago. How did you fare? For future reference, in such cases, you should always contact the prescribing doctor. There is nothing available over the counter that is going to be as effective as the Oxycodone in this and, having had the surgery can limit what would be safe for you to take.
