I was just shown an xray of my shoulder joint (the ball) that showed a calcium deposit creating excruciating pain. Tendinitis was also indicated.... inflammation. I was told I needed to see an orthopedic surgeon...cortisone IV, I'm assuming, or surgery. I wanted to know if calcium & magnesium gluconate (Calm) or hydroxycitrate will irritate or further my condition? I'm taking Motrin 800 ml & Aleve. I had a deposit on the other shoulder, years ago that was dissolved by an IV never to return :) . I prefer to go with a holistic-natural remedy/cure but the pain is debilitating....sigh. I don't want to add to or create more distress. I have read that Quercitin, bromelain, turmeric, ginger, and Omega-3's are good for my condition. Are there any contraindications in com...

My heal on my left foot has been hurting for about 6 months. At times it is fine for awhile and then it starts hurting again. Some days I can't hardly walk on it. Do you have any suggestions what it could be. ## Hello, Marie! How are you? You might have developed a heel spur, it's a type of calcium deposit that occurs on the underside of the heel bone of your foot. That type of pain that comes and goes is often associated with them. Have you consulted your doctor? They can be detected with a simple x-ray and then treatment options can vary, depending on the cause. Sometimes it's a simple as relieving the pain and wearing better shoes for awhile.

i have done ultrasound and report says there is fat deposited on my lever. doctor told me to take evian 400 capsule per day after meal up to 3 month. i am 45 years old. i afraid this dose per day is suitable for me? is there any side effect for eating up to 3 month .

The doctor prescribed Hexarone for me but the opthalmologist eventually found a residue deposit as a result of the meds on my corneas. The specialist changed the meds to Bisohexal, later on the new Med Aid scheme changed it to Adco-Bisocor. The film on my corneas are getting worse. I don't know whether it is the active ingredient BISOPROLOL - but I need help urgently, my sight is getting 'hazier'. I am 63 years old and had an eye stroke 2 years ago. I cannot find anything on the Internet that addresses this problem of residue on the corneas. ## What are the side effects of Bisocor? ## Patricia, are they certain it's from the medication? Bisocor contains the active ingredient Bisoprolol, which is a beta blocker used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditi...

My mom that is 77, had a calcium scoring done and got a 286, can anyone explain what that means? ## Hello, Peg! How are you? While most of our calcium is absorbed by our teeth and bones, there's usually about 1% that streams through our blood. Overtime, as we age, it can start to leave deposits in the arteries and is especially problematic, when it's in the coronary arteries. The higher the score, the more significant the calcium deposits and the higher the person is at risk of cardiovascular events. Anything from 101 to 400 is significant of definite, at least moderate, atherosclerotic plaque, which means there is a high likelihood that they have mild coronary artery disease with significant narrowing of the arteries as possibility. This is the basic summation provided by the N...

Hi, There I am suffering from gout, since I changed my blood pressure medication its been worse then ever. My doctor said that prexuim plus could cause this, but the specialist opinion diffres. Could prexuim plus influence gout? ## Hi Johan, Based on my research, the medication "Prexum Plus" contains Indapamide and Perindopril. Studies show that Indapamide can cause Hyperuricemia; which is a high level of uric acid in the blood. Gout usually occurs when the uric acid is deposited as needle-like crystals in the joints and/or soft tissues- and according to the National institute of Arthritis and Muskuloskeletal and Skin diseases, Hyperuricemia is a symptom of gout. Also, I've heard that most blood pressure medications can cause excess uric acid levels which could result in gou...

I underwent Aeotic valve replacement in April 2006. After 6 months Dr. prescribed 3 tablets viz. Amalong 5mg, Ecosprin 150 mg, and Storvas 10mg. There was no problem upto 2013 December. For the past one and half years I developed Prostate condition (urine passes slowly), of course my creatinine is 1.1. Dr.says that deposits in the urine bladder may be a reason. I just want to know whether any side effect is possible because of the above medicines. I am 67 now. ## It is doubtful, such medications usually cause increased urination and, occasionally, kidney stones, according to the NIH. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, and joint/muscle aches. Are you taking anything to help with your prostate issue?

I want to know of any overall study of side effects from long term 5mg dose finasteride ## Further to my initial message above: I am a 90 year old man in UK. I have had severe prostate enlargement and my GP suggested treatment with finasteride plus, initially, fesoterodine. The fesoterodine was stopped after a few months, but I have now been on Finasteride 5mg for a year. The result has been excellent as regards my prostate. I read as much as I could find about any side effects of finasteride, but it seems that it is overwhelmingly used for premature hair loss. In my case I have experienced the following: Development of quite marked breasts, firm and curved, with nipples that harden and stick out if stimulated. Deposit of unusual pattern of fat around the lower belly and inner thighs. I...

WHAT IS THE BEST DIET AND MEDICINE WHICH CAN CLEANSE THE ARTERY BLOCKAGE ## If it is due to fatty deposits, then you need a diet that is low in fats, especially saturated fats and cholesterol. You will also want it to be higher in fiber, eating things like oatmeal and whole grains. The best medications are usually the statin drugs, though they can cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, headache and joint/muscle aches. Are there any other comments or questions?

Any of these drugs can make you itch depending on how used to them and how much you take. If you are young, do everything you can to stay away from these drugs, and if you're using them for recreation I beg you to stop. Now that I've said all that, some people need to have them. Even young people ... but they can be as dangerous as they are helpful if you are not very careful to come off them as soon as possible. I am 49 years old. I broke my back when I was 28 years old, and I started taking them. I've had surgeries and I've come off the pills for years at a time, but from the time of my first back surgery my spine developed little holes and massive calcium deposits (scar tissue) so that the bones became brittle and the nerves more and more impinged. After the third bac...
