My doctor has prescribed skelaxin for muscle spasms in my hands and feet due to osteoarthritis, it doesn't seem to help very much but I cannot take tizanidine because of serious side effects. (Hallucinations) I currently take Opana ER (10mg 3/day and Percocet 4/day) What other muscle relaxers can be prescribed? ## Hello, Toots! How are you? Two other options would be Carisoprodol (Soma) and Methocarbamol (Robaxin). The FDA lists the typical side effects for them as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My doctor decided on Baclofen. It seems to be working pretty well. Thanks for responding!

I still have a prescription from 2015. I have been having back pain and cramping. It is now 2017. Is it still safe to take the medication that I have now? ## This medication doesn't become dangerous, once expired, but it can lose efficacy, so it may not work as well as it did, when new. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. The best thing to do would be to dispose of and see your doctor for a new prescription, if one is necessary. Is there anything else I can help with?

I accidentally took a dantrolene 25mg with my baclofen 10mg ## Hi James, I did some research looking into possible drug interactions between the two, and one report suggests that using the two together may increase the risk of certain side effects ranging from dizziness and drowsiness, to impaired cognitive function. However that seems to be the worst of your worries based off this information alone -(but also not to discount each drug's own individual side effects as well). And if this was just a one time thing then in my experience you should be fine, but on the other hand, if you were to develop symptoms that became too bothersome or severe, I'd still encourage you to contact your doctor immediately and/or poison control to see what steps should be taken to ensure your safety...

I have been on soma for about eight years. It really is the only muscle relaxer to really help. But recently most all doctors here in Georgia have stopped prescribing them. Do you know why this would be and are there any other muscle relaxers that may be similar to soma? ## The laws were changed a few years ago and Soma was made a controlled substance. You will find better medicine in the Muscle Relaxer family although it will not feel like Soma does ## There is really none comparable, it was the strongest one available. I've done well with both Flexeril and Skelaxin, but they may not work as well for you. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have degenerative spine disea...

My doctor told me im positive for methamphetamines but ive never seen it before or used it. I take muscle relaxers and Tylenol. I have taken 2 tests, both were positive - but i know I've never used it. What do i do? ## Hello, Rere! How are you? What specific muscle relaxants do you take? Some medications can cause false positives on some of the less expensive tests. And as to the same result on two tests, did they actually send it out to a lab, or just use another one of their in-house tests? Only a lab can actually differentiate a false positive from an accurate tests. Some Tylenol products have been known to cause false positives. Was it just regular Tylenol that you were taking or was it the sinus formula? If I were you, I'd require the actual professional lab test.

I found out my boyfriend has been putting these pills in my drinks. Why? I noticed a bitter taste when drinking or eating stuff, and finally found one stuck to a piece of ice. ## I believe they are muscle relaxers ## Hello, Heidi! How are you doing? I am very sorry about what's been happening to you. However, what pills has he been putting in your drinks? You didn't list a specific medication or pill description. Nor did you place this in any particular pill forum. Can you please post back with more details, so I can help you? Thanks! As to your boyfriend, if he's really doing this, I'd be very cautious about trusting him and you should know that this is illegal. It could be very dangerous. ## I checked the pill and the number on it and looked it up. Says the are colonop...

Hi, I need help please. I was leaving for vacation last Wednesday from Newark airport. We were frantically trying to catch our plane(which we ended up missing anyways) when I realized that either my carry on bag was lost or stolen in the shuffle. Between my husband and my two kids bags plus my own. Figures it'd be my bag with my oxy 15mg oxy 30mg morphine and muscle relaxers. The only positive is that I always carry some in my purse, but never more then 10 of each for obvious reasons. So, anyway I'm starting to get down to nothing, and have been taking next to nothing and my drs office is on vacation too?? Idk what to as I am supposed to be on vacation for another 10days with my family and really don't want to be sick. Any suggestions??? Even a home made remedy to make it ea...

Has anyone experienced back and neck spasm while taking myrbetriq? I have been taking Wellbutrin XL 150mg for several years after bladder spasms start post hysterectomy. The Wellbutrin XL causes increased muscle tension, but tolerable as long as I do not increase the dosage. However, since starting the Myrbetriq, I am having increased neck and back spasms which is not responding to bodywork or muscle relaxers. I was thinking maybe the Myrbetriq may affect the same part of the brain as the Wellbutrin(which worked well for many years for the bladder spasms). Would appreciate feedback. ## Body aches, joint aches, pain and spasms are listed by the FDA as being possible side effects of this medication. How long have you been taking it? Side effects are usually transient and go away, once you...

I just refilled my monthly meds for 15 mg oxycodone hcl. Been on this medication since 2002. I'm a kidney patient and cannot take aspirin, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, or muscle relaxers due to very low kidney function. This new white oblong tablet is scored on one side with initials R H and other side says "15". These are not working for my pain. Nor do I know if they contain any other ingredient that I'm not supposed to take. Please let me know why these are not working. Taking 2 at a time and still not helping. Thank u. ## Is the marking possibly RP 15? If so, these tablets are manufactured by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 15mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the...

Two weeks after starting Tricor, I started developing muscle stiffness that within two more weeks was so severe, I was only sleeping a couple hours a night because the pain kept me up. I went to the Dr and she said keep taking the tricor -she prescribed muscle relaxers and an NSAID pain med. They said maybe it was bad posture, and caused by working at a computer. They also suggested physical therapy. Neither helped. Two days later I went to a Chiropractor, with no relief. The next week I was calling her office again, after waiting in pain a couple days, she prescribed another kind of muscle relaxer and NSAID for pain, and again said to go to physical therapy. The medicin did nothing at all, and again I was so severly in pain, I felt as if someone was trying to rip my arms from my should...

How many should I take at a time? I have a script for my head aches. I used to be addicted to muscle relaxers ( I don't any more and as an out come I'm now on Methadone) so I think I may have a higher tolerance and I used to take four - five T3's at a time. So if they're only 1's I'd be not thinking right just guessing but i don't want to assume and take to many... does this make sense?.. ## This tablet is listed as only containing 500mgs of Acetaminophen, so it is not going to compare to any opiate for pain relief and you can't take more than 1,000mgs at any given dosing and no more than 3,000mgs in 24 hours. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness and headache. Is there anything else I can help with?
