y mscontin 100mg and 60mg rx and dilaudid 8mg rx
I've been prescribed to these meds for almost 3 years now. I have been taking Ms Contin for almost 7 years. In the past 4 months or so I have noticed my pain becoming significantly worse and also my Ms Contin tablets weighing less than they used to as well as tasting like salt. I take the brand name Ms Contin 100mg and 60mg from Purdue Pharma L.P. and I always have. I take brand of practically every medication I'm prescribed to, including Duragesic 100mcg and Dilaudid 8mg. I am not very happy I am back on Dilaudid again, as I was on it prior to moving around here and was taking over 2x the dose I currently am along with Actiq 1200 and 1600mcg and never found the Dilaudid to work well on my pain. The Actiq did, but only for up to an hour max. I actually asked to be taken off Acti... ...

brand ms contin 100mg 60mg and brand dilaudid 8mg
Has anyone in the chicagoland area been receiving prescriptions of both 100mg and 60mg BRAND (Purdue Pharma, L.P.) MsContin and thought they were not working as well as usual? I have also noticed a very strong salty taste to them along with their weight being off and weighing much lighter that ones I have got in past prescriptions. I am also experiencing this with BRAND (Purdue Pharma, L.P) Dilaudid 8mg tablets. They don't seem to be relieving my pain nearly as well and many have had a very strong salty taste to them. Does anyone have any advice? I have been filling them at Walgreens. My doctor made me change pharmacies b/c the small, independent pharmacy I was going to before wasn't putting all my Rx's into the IL RX Monitoring Database. The ONLY medication of mine I am gettin ...

Dilaudid Elago 24mg ER once a day versus 120mg. MS Contin
I have several physical back, neck, knee, foot issues that cause chronic pain. I have been on pain medications for about 20 years. Yes..I know it sounds like a long time. But I had small kids to raise and a very unsupportive husband. I am at a pain clinic. Recently I asked to be taken off of MS Contin 60mg. twice a day with 3 tablets of 4mg. dilaudid for breakthrough pain. I did take the dilaudid sparingly according to my activity level. Well..they wanted me to try long acting ELAGO in place of the morphine. I feel like the ELAGO does not last 24 hours and I feel like I need to take more 4mg. dilaudid. I also feel like I am getting a rapid heartbeat sometimes. Could you tell me what may be happening to me? I was hoping to not have to take anything other than the ELAGO ER, but it is not the... ...

I just died from running two; no, not because an opiate overdose, but because the wax blocked an artery to my heart and I suffered a self induced heart attack right there on the floor! So, all in all, there is than one way to over- do-it with these i.v. meds. ## Were you in the hospital? Was it a medically confirmed heart attack? morphine sulfate cr
can I crush morphine sulfate cr 60mg? ## No, the CR stands for Controlled Release, which means this is a generic for MS Contin, a time released medication. These tablets slowly release the medication over a 12 hour time period. By crushing it, you risk getting too much of the Morphine at once, which could cause an overdose. An overdose could cause severe organ damage and death. Do you have trouble swallowing the tablets? ## Yes, you can crush it and insuffulate it as it is water soluble. As the man above me said, watch out. If you have taken the Morph orally then you will be able to snort it. If you are taking them everyday for pain I would highly advise against this as it will build up tolerance and you might find yourself going out side your doctor to get more opiates (Heroin too eh, ... ...

cutting an Ms Contin in half
I Take ms60 mg er, I know the pill Hell's up if crushed, however these pills are strong and really affect my breathing but work great for severe pain. My question is; can I cut the 60mg er pill in half without destroying the pill? I'm not snorting or shooting, would only like to take less at tines, especially before bed. Thanks.... ## I have done it successfully but after what I've read, that u can overdose by doing this and releasing all at once, I don't recommend it. The most prudent thing to do is get in to see dr right away and explain to him; he could prescribe 30 mg tablets. They go down to 15 I think. Whatever u do , don't tell your dr about considering cutting them! Mine yanked me off when he found out I'd been cutting them to cut down. PS a pharmacist to... ...
