My doctor gave me a sample pack and a prescription for metanx because he thought it could help me nerve pain. But he said there were no side effects. I learn from reliable quarters that renerve and renerveplus tabs / capsules are banned in India. Is it true? Our local pharmacy refuses to supply this as the legal process to get the ban removed may take months, if at all. They instead suggest Biocobal plus tabs. Are these reliable and preferable? ## On the ban, I'm sorry, but since it is in India, I know nothing about that. Have you spoken to a doctor about what you should use? ## I dont think Renerve is banned in India......

I started taking Amoxicillin earlier this week for a throat infection. About 2 or 3 days after I started taking it, I started to develop jaw pain that comes and goes. Somebody told me it was just nerve pain. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this while taking Amoxicillin? ## Hey Amanda, sorry to hear about the jaw pain you're having. I don't know if it could be related to nerve damage or not, but I just wanted to inform you that I have come across studies from ehealthme indicating that jaw pain was associated with the use of Amoxicillin in 411 out of 22,270 patients. So although relatively less common, it does appear to be a possibility. Amoxicillin also lists joint pain/inflammation, swollen lymph glands (nodes underneath the jaw), and difficulty with swallowing on...

I was on Metoprolol XR for 6 months, the most consistent dose was 50 mg once/day. I had many of the common side effects - fatigue, headaches, muscle pain - but the most distressing has been the cold hands and feet along with an intense burning feeling along the nerves in my arms, legs and face. I tapered off over the last month I was on it, but the nerve pain seems worse. I have been completely off the med for only 3 days now. Has anyone experienced this? Does it get better or am I doomed? I'm only 33 with 2 young boys. I would like to be able to enjoy them! ## Hello, Melissa! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem you had from this medication. Yes, if it was solely due to the Metoprolol, it should go away entirely, but it may take a couple of weeks to fully taper off. Th...

My husband has been on metanx for 4-5yrs,it has helped with neuropathy in feet, has any one experienced severe pain and swelling in hands as a possible side effect of too much B-6,long term use of mentanx ? ## Hi Karen, Does your husband work on the computer frequently? This is a common cause for pain and swelling in the hands, so I thought I'd ask. Interestingly enough though, I just checked the side effects of Metanx and common side effects include: Drowsiness; feeling of swelling of the entire body; mild diarrhea; numbness or tingling. That said, it could in-fact be that Metanx is causing those complications. Has he sought out any treatment options or decreased his use of the medication?

The med is the reliable neurotonic partner in the comprehensive management of neurophathies ## This is not an actual medication, it is a vitamin supplement. As such, while it is commonly given, in some countries, to help with certain types of nerve pain, it will really only help if a deficiency in them has been contributing to the pain. If someone's pain has been caused by an injury of some sort, then it really cannot be counted on to reliably help them.
