I am currently taking 15 mg of morphine er twice daily and have been for 4 months now for chronic severe back pain. I have been noticing the last 2 weeks that it's not working as well. Is it safe to take 2 at once? ## Hello, Crystal! How are you? No, you shouldn't adjust your dosage, without your doctor's approval. That could be too much for you to take and may cause a dangerous overdose. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The best thing to do would be to contact your doctor, inform them of the problem and then see what they advise. Is there anything else I can help with?

my drug insurance co sugested i take this morphine in place of oxycodone 20 mg cr tab.. what is your impression of that??// ## Doesn't work for me. See if he will give you the IR oxycoxone for breakthrough pain. That should help.'that's an awful low dose of extended release morphine. Good luck! ## 30mgs of Morphine is equivalent to the 20mgs of Oxycodone that you were taking. However, it doesn't work as well for everyone, similar to Full of Heart, when I was on pain management and had to switch, due to my insurance no longer covering Oxycontin, it helped, but never worked quite as well as the Oxycontin did. They are both narcotics, so the side effects are very similar and may include: nausea, dizziness, constipation and dry mouth. Are there any other questions? ## I Want...

red and white capsule has Pfuer printed on the red side and PGN 75 printed on the white side ## THIS IS NOT MORPHINE NOR ANY TYPE OF NARCOTIC! This is Pregabalin 75mgs, a generic for Lyrica. This is used to help prevent Epileptic seizures and to treat certain types of nerve pain. It is NOT a narcotic nor related to one, though. ## By the way, that is what the code PGN 75 stands for Pregabalin 75mgs. Pfizer is the manufacturer.

i have a pill that's supposed to be morphine but every one.I've had had an M on.but these one has N instead and 30 on the other side and its purple and round ## You asked if the purple pills with the N on it was Morphine and the answer is Yes. It comes in different looks depending on the manufacture. It is a 30mg time released pill. I have been getting them for years now. ## Was this obtained/purchased in the U.S. or elsewhere? How often can you take morphine 30mg per day. How many hours apart ## 1x evry 8 hours ## wife had terminal cancer, prescription :morphine sulf ir 30mg tab tab, mfg:ethex corp. direction on script take 1 to 3 tablets every four to six hours as needed ## Morphine should be taken in the exact way your doctor prescribed it to you. Everyone is different, and each person reacts differently to dosage and mg amount. If you did not recieve your prescription from an MD, I would watch out for overdose symtoms. If you start feeling: Drowsiness, pupils change in size, feeling confused, cold and clammy skin, weakened pulse, difficulty breathing, or fainting I would stop taking it right away. I have been on kadian for 2 yrs now. 150mg twice a day, plus percocet10/325 for breakthrough. works pretty well. Now I have to switch to morphine sulfate er TABLETS. I will be taking 160 mgs twice per day. Have not taken yet so I don't know if they will work as good as the kadian. What I was also wondering if the morphine sulfate er CAPSULES work better than the morphine sulfate er TABLETS. anyone try both to see if there was any difference thank you ## What you're switching to is just a generic for Kadian, it still contains a time released formulation of Morphine. As to which one works better, when I was taking it, I never noticed a different between the tablets or the capsules, but what is true for me may not be true for you. You really need to try it for yourself and see what...
