My doctor changed my 60mg orange oblong morphine to the 60mg round orange ones. I inject my medication and need to know why the round pill is oily after its broke down to liquid form. Since using these new pills I am having trouble pooping what the hell the government done to my morphine? ## The government didn't do anything. Tablets such as this are not intended to be broken down and injected and trying to do so is dangerous. Tablets contain fillers, especially the time released ones and not all of them are meant to be broken down by the human body. They are normally just expelled in your waste. If you try to break them down for injection, you are placing these substances directly into your body in a way that it cannot process them out. This creates the risk of your developing bloc...

I've been on morphing 15 mg for 9 years at 4 times a day . witch would equal to 60 MG's. A day and now they decided to put me on 30 milligrams time release twice a day . is this still the same thing or different and how ## Hello, Blackbetty! How are you? The time released can give some people better pain control, since it is slowly released over the 12 hour dosing period. That is the only difference. And no, you can't cut or break them, because that could cause you to get too much of the medication, at once. They must be swallowed whole. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. white ## No such thing, are you referring to Oxycodone? Or Morphine? Either way, you have not provided enough information, do you know how many pills there are that are white? There are no proprietary guidelines in the pharmaceutical industry that states all pills with the same ingredient must be the same color, size and/or shape. These are entirely up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer. And whether you are talking about Oxycodone or Morphine, or something else, there are many of them that are white, all of differing doses and forms. ## oxymorphine is a pill, it was recently fda approved..3x stronger then morphine ## oxymorphine is very real, and very strong, I, myself have lupis, and have taken oxymorphine 10 mg, BUT... it was not white, it was peach, also very effective. ## i th...

I suspect a local hospital is supplying fake morphine. I took a bad reaction to nightly medication. Recieing supposedly the same drug "Sevredol" via my GP on discharge, the effect is completely different. How do I have this investigated, as I am encountering high levels of obstructive/defensive activity, without raising the issue specifically. The relevant authorities seem reluctant to recieve any form of complaint on the NHS.

Would like to see a picture of the drug to make sure its what I'm looking for. ## I'm sorry, but I don't have a picture to post for you, due to copyright reasons. However, the Morphine tablet with a 733 on it should be round, white and have 54 over 733 on one side and just a score line on the other. It contains 15mgs of Morphine in a regular release formulation. Since it is a narcotic analgesic, it does have the potential to be habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Can i spilt a 30mg morphine pill in half, although the pill doesn't have an underscore on it. ## No, it is not safe to cut these ones, that's why they don't have a score line on them. This is a time released formulation of Morphine and cutting the tablet could result in your receiving too much of the narcotic at once, which may result in overdose. Learn more Morphine details here. Started morphine pills for back pain 30 mg I took it at 9 p.m. It didn't kick in until 12:15...3 hours for reaction? As well, really strong as far as that feeling of "tightness" throughout neck arms etc. Instead of pain relief & anility to sleep, I feel the need to stay awake and monitor breathing. In the hospital this RX would work much faster and stiffness was less ability to slep was fine. Is it the form (pill v.s. IV)??? I'm having a tooth pulled & have 12 short release 5mg morphine pills for pain. I'd like to know how long each pill will last for my pain. 4 hours, 6 hours? ## It can actually vary from person to person, so there is no definitive answer I can give you. It is dependent upon your own metabolism, your tolerance to pain, and your tolerance to narcotics. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Other than the time I had full dental surgery, I usually found that having a tooth pulled was not extremely painful, after it was over, it was more sore, than anything, however this is unique to my experience. But be sure to follow the dosing instructions that have...
