I've had two back surgerys and I have a spinal cord stimulator in iam on 60mgs of morphine and 8 mgs of dilaudid and I still have break through pain plus iam on 150mgs of Lyrica iam just wondering what I can change to cover the pain. ## Hello, Sheri! I usually take 1-3 10/500 hydrocodone pills a day. I recently Ran out and have 60 mg morphine. I have never taken morphine pills.. had it iv in hospital a few times. Should I take it to ease the pain or what should I expect. i have been taking 60mg.morphine sulfate with little relief i just started on methadone hcl 10mg. & found them to be stronger & more effective my wife just believes that it is the change but i am convinced the methadone is stronger who is right? ## It would take 15mgs of Methadone to equal each 60mgs dose of the Morphine, so I'd have to give the win to your wife. This pill is DEFINITELY morphine 60mgs, an extended release version, a generic for MS Contin. I don't even have to look this one up to check what it is, because I suffer a chronic pain condition and I have a whole bottle of these right here in my hand. So it is definitely morphine and not any type of Valium or benzodiazepine.

I was on 60mg of oxycontin 3x a day, and cuz of my insurance company had to switch to 15mg of extended release morphine.. I am very concerned about the pain or withdrawal symptoms.
