will crushing the pill give me better relief? ## ER pills are not to be crushed ## Crushing them is a very dangerous practice, you could get too much of the narcotic at once and overdose yourself. These are time released for a reason. If you are having trouble with adequate pain relief, then please speak to your doctor. I was on these for several years for pain management and they are a very strong medication. I do have to say, however, there are some types of pain that they should not be used for, what condition are you taking them for? ## If you are taking an antibiotic for Azitmonuycin can you crush them & drink with juice ?

I'm on Morphine sulf 60mg ER 1 table every 12 hours plus Fentora 400 MCG Buccal tablet 1 every 6 hours. I'm ran out of the Morphine Sulf and none of the farmacy have it on stock. Now I'm with a lot of pain, I think because I'm getting the morphine out of my system, but I do have at home Oxycodone 15 MG. Do you know if I can substitute the morphine for the Oxycodone safely until I get the Morphine back within 2 days. Also if I take the Oxycodone can I still take the Fentora safely. I will not take it together, but like I take Oxycodone now and within one hour it's the time for Fentora. ## Hi, Santa! Sorry about the problem that you're having finding your medication. And yes, a sudden withdrawal from the Morphine can cause a rebound effect, which could cause worse p...

Can a 60mg morphine pill be mixed with SAPHRIS 10MG SUBLINGUAL TABLET, I take two 10mg saphris tablets a day, normally at bedtime. I just want to know if it is safe or not. Please help me with this very important question. ## Has your doctor prescribed them both, so they are aware that you are taking both medications? Both the Morphine and Saphris can cause depression of the central nervous system and taking them together can have additive effects that may worsen it. Therefore, the dosage has to be carefully taken under consideration and calculated. You should also know to watch for any signs of it, such as extreme sedation, drowsiness, shallow breathing and lowered heart rate.

I have morphine sulfate 60mg they say abg on it. What does abg mean? ## That's just the logo used by the manufacturer. Under U.S. law, all manufactured prescription tablets must have unique imprints to enable their identification in case of emergency. Learn more Morphine details here. This is a narcotic, so it does have the potential to be habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. My boyfriend is perscribed morphine sulfate extended release, and he is currently getting thees oblong ones (e655/60). In the bottle he found one that was just a 1/2. They are skinny and kinda soft so easily broken on accident. In the past he has gotten the wax-coated ones, and said the ER part is in the coating. In these, however, there is no coating. In a broken one- is the ER part also messed up, or is the ER mixed into the whole pill? Wanting to know if taking 1/2 of these is simply 30mg ER instead of 60mg ER. ## Hello, Ashley! How are you? No, it is not safe to take a broken tablet, because that can defeat the timed released formulation and may result in overdose. That said, he should take it to his pharmacy and tell him, they may replace it for him. I've had this happen before...

I have been takin 60mg ms contin 3 times a day n 30mg oxycodone immediate release 4 times a day for 8 yrs i have bullet fragments in my spine an nerve damage in my legs my doc recently changed the oxycodone to morphine 30mg immediate release but my pain is still ridiculous what will help me i also take baclofen 10mg amytriptilyn 50mg an recently lyrica 75mg but like i said my pain is still out of control what will help me? ## Hello, Shy! How are you doing? Has there been any change? According to the NIH conversion information for opiates, Oxycodone is one and a half times stronger than Morphine, thus, being switched from 30mgs Oxycodone to 30mgs of Morphine was actually lowering your dose, so it is unsurprising that you are still in pain. The FDA warns that narcotic medications carry th...

i had pills from when my mother had cancer in 2006. can i use these same pills for pain now ## Hi, Linda! Sorry that you're in pain. However, the best thing to do would be to see your doctor to get an appropriate diagnosis and discuss your treatment options. These tablets have an expiration date of one year from when they were dispensed, which means they expired back in 2007. After that they begin to lose effectiveness, which means that after so many years, they are most likely worthless. Are there any other questions or concerns?

I usually take 1-3 10/500 hydrocodone pills a day. I recently Ran out and have 60 mg morphine. I have never taken morphine pills.. had it iv in hospital a few times. Should I take it to ease the pain or what should I expect. A little nervous.. ## You should only take half or even a quarter, 60mgs of morphine is around 6 times as potent as 10 mg of hydrocodone, and the could be an incomplete cross tolerance effect aswell ## Hi Kole, Sorry to hear about your challenges with pain. But because it's your first time taking the morphine pills, I honestly think it would be best to consult with your doctor first, since they also have an understanding of your medical history and what dosage amount might be safest for you based on their professional opinion/evaluation. On the other hand, nobod...

I find it is much more effective when I take it in other forms than a tablet. ## Or you could get too much of the medication at once and overdose yourself on it. As to a tablet marked P 60, I still cannot find any identification as of writing this. Did you say it's morphine? What country was it found in? ## I may be so used to taking opiates by mouth for a myriad of diseases including scoliosis, resulting in horrible pains that travel around my body. For the first year (I got adult scoliosis at age 62. I was taking 130 mgs of methadone, which is the amount I got to after taking it for about 18 years or so. Methadone has a good side to it that I do not experience with the morphine that they now insist I take instead, unless I join the "junkie" program at the VA where I would ...

It is not shown to be orange either. How can two pills for different problems have the same imprint? It worries me since my husband is already on heart meds. ## Hello, Joy! How are you? I have been taking ms 60mg for six months. first i received a light tanish round waxy pill with a coating. then 3 months ago i received the same but burnt orange in color. same markings abg and 60. the pharmacy told me that the manufacturer had switched to a different color. idk why, but half of my script was tan and the other orange. 2 months ago i received only orange ones. and then last month i received oblong orange ones marked e655 and 60. these are more chalky and do not have wax. they ARE the same thing only different binders. If you prefer the ones with e655 ask your pharmacist for the ones made by ENDO Labs. ## It is completely normal for your pharmacy to switch what generic medication they provide, at any given time, depending on which manufacturer was offering the cheapest pr...

teal and white capsule ## There are many morphine 60mgs available on the market in both capsules and pills forms. Without providing me with the full imprint on your capsule, I cannot confirm what it is, or provide any information. There are no proprietary guidelines in the pharmaceutical industry that says all pills or capsules with the same ingredients have to look the same. Their size, shape, and color are entirely up to the manufactured and how they decide to make them. If you respond back with the imprint on your capsule, I will gladly check what it is for you, and let you know. I was taking 60mg of morphine sulfate from Rhodes. The pharmacy said they didn't come in and gave me the Actavis brand instead. They do not work for my pain at all and give me horrible stomach pains! The pharmacist brushed me off, saying they all have the same ingredients! I can't find a picture of it on the internet....it's round, tan, with a 311 on one side & a half moon on the other side. Any help would be appreciated! ## Hello, well this is the first time I have seen these pills too, normally i do not take morphine, unless oxycodone cannot be prescribed.
