How many 15 mg of Morphine Sulfate equal 4 of the 10 mg Hydrocodone?? ## Morphine and Hydrocodone are generally considered equal in strength, when taken orally, so a 10mg Morphine tablet would be equal to 10mgs of Hydrocodone, this your 15mg Morphine is actually a stronger dose than what you were taking of the Hydrocodone. 3 of the Morphine 15mg tablets would be 45mgs and that would actually still be 5mgs stronger than the 40mgs in 4 of the Hydrocodone tablets. I recently was switched from 15mg IR to 7.5m gIR, I also take one 15mg CR every 12 hours. I neglegted to ask how much of a difference the 7. would be as opposed to the 15mg IR. I have fibromyalgia, costrocondritus, neck and back anomlies, fractured S1/T2 and the sacrum is cracked. The discs in between; one bulging, one flat and leaking into the siatic nerve. I also have panic disorder (take 5mg Diazepam 3x per bid). Robaxin, 150mg 4x daily, Zoloft 50mg per day. Ompemrazole/ranitidine 1, 2x per day. I just went to a new pain dr. For 8 years I was on OxyContin 30mg. My insurance wouldn't pay so I was switched to 30 mg ms continue er. This worked fine. All with 5/325 Hydrocodone up to 4 daily for breakthrough. Within the last four months the old Doctor switched to 30mg IRR without telling me why the change. I think just mixed up. Actually it worked basically the same with the breakthrough meds. Now new doc changed to MS Contin er generic with same amount of breakthrough melds. I am on 40mg of Opana and 15 mg ir morphine for 3 ruptured discs. . When I take the morphine it makes me tired. Is there an IR that will not make me groggy? ## Hello, Steven! How are you? How long does morphine sulfate 15 mg ir last? I take 2 a day. I also take morphine sulfate 30 mg er 3 a day. I'm confused as to when I am supposed to take the morphine sulfate it. It only seems to last 4 hours and the morphine 30 mg er seems to last no more than 7 hours. I can only stand and bend for 10 minutes or less until I'm in excruciating pain. My pain Dr. Only sees me once every 6 month's. My pain specialist had me on 40 mg Opana ER and 15 mg Morphine Sulfate IR for 8 years. I had to find another doctor and starting next week I will be taking 30 mg Oxymorphone ER every 12 hours and 10 mg Oxycodone IR up to 3 per day.
