I've been on 20mg Citalopram for almost 6 weeks now and don't feel any better, of anything I'm more depressed and anxious than I was before. My GP has talked about increasing the dose but I don't know wether it's the Citalopram, making me worse or if the dosage isn't strong enough. Any thoughts plaeas? ## Too many physicians don't take side effects seriously, and rather than stopping the antidepressant, increase the dose. A major side effect of all antidepressants is a deeper depression. Although I'm a layman, I've been through enough therapy and antidepressants to know that what your doctor is doing is wrong. For one thing, psychiatrists should be prescribing antidepressants, not general practitioners. My advice is not to increase the dose and to see...

I have currently been taking sprintec for about 4 months now, and within the last 2 months I have had no libido at all. It has caused huge issues between my boyfriend, and I have mood swings all the time. Does anyone else have this problem? What did you do to help fix it? I have been on a bunch of different kinds of pills for birth control (I loved them), and I also was on the DEPO shot (I loved it but i gained over 50 lbs.). ## It really sounds like the estrogen in them doesn't agree with your body, you may naturally have a higher amount, so adding that in the pills is just pushing it too far. Have you considered trying the Mirena IUD? It only uses a form of Progesterone, rather than estrogens.

I have been on Lexapro 10mg for about a month and half. I felt great for a few weeks in that time but then about a week ago I started having mood swings. I thought I was just having a bad day, but it goes on ever day now. One minute, I'm fine and the next I'm not. I'm not sure if maybe I should go to 15mg? Does ativan and methadone course bad mood swings she's gone nuts latly ## Hello, Bob! How are you? Yes, it could be due to either one, though the most likely culprit would be the Ativan, perhaps the combination of both, or it may be unrelated and do to hormones. If it's mainly irritability, then the Ativan or her hormones should be considered, because the Methadone will usually act as a downer and cause depression. How old is she? Both of these medications also carry the risk of being habit forming.

I have been taking lo loestin fe for 10 days and I'm an emotional wreck I hear something on the radio or see something on TV and I start crying, I can be laughing and the next second I'm irritated I hate this and I hate this BC I don't know what to do I also get cramps after an hour of taking it. Please help me! I feel like I'm losing my mind. My husband is taking gabapentin for a pinched nerve in neck/slash shoulder. Hi everyone, I developed anxiety attacks 2 weeks ago due to a relationship problem. I tried to solve too many problems at once associated with the split and couldn't sleep for a long time resulting in my current condition. I'm 37 and never experienced anything like this. I’m a 72 year old who has been on 60mg Cymbalta plus 300-2400 mg gabapentin as needed for 4 years for neuropathic pain. The combination has been effective in lowering the baseline of my pain. During this time, however, I have gained a great deal of weight. Recently I’ve had aching and sometimes sharp pain near my liver. This is very concerning for me. I have been on 250 mg of Nuvigil 1 1/2 weeks prescribed by my sleep doctor. First day was very good but as the days progressed I have had some mood swings, still feel like I need a nap in the afternoon, and feel bloated with a slight headache and rear neck pain. I have been on Neurontin for about 2 months now and it is helping my chronic pain, however... I am having terrible mood swings. I'm already dealing with depression and anxiety (which is currently untreated due to a ridiculous wait time for an appointment). I haven't been without pain for years and while i'm enjoying that, I'm ruining my life and friendships with my mood swings. I have been taking Lyrica for about 3-4 weeks, low does of 50mg twice a day for cervical disc problems (neck) nerve pain. I am female, 42 years old. I FEEL LIKE I'M GOING MAD. Almost immediately I started experiencing a "high" feeling, and feel very disconnected to everything around me. I have trouble concentrating and sticking to any task, which is making working very difficult (I am a journalist/writer). I was on 1,500mg of primidone a few weeks ago and my doctor went down to 500mg.because of a med mistake. It was really helping my mental health.
