For what purpose is this injection (Ceftriaxone) given? Hi , My neice was getting fever during nights continously for 3 to 4 days , when we took her to doctor and conducted blood tests malaia and typhoid tests are negative. Doctor has suggested monocef 1g iv/im injection twice a day for 5 days,. we took the dosage for 3 days. Now i want to know whether 2mg /day is too heavy for 4yrs kid. ## Hello, Bp! My baby is 8 months old..she is having infection and doctor suggested for monocf for 5 days..we have taken 3 days yet to complete 5 days..but fiver is coming in every 6 concern is is monocef work for fiver..and wanted to know what is the difference between fiver and infection. ## Based of CRP test ..our doctor suggested for monocef injection..its 5 Days course..we had 2 days yet to complete 5 days..but I don't see any change in my usual fiver is getting every 6 hrs.
