Missed Pill Spotting

This month I skipped the white pills so I wouldn't have my period. Instead of the white pills I went right to the new pack of blue pills. The sunday the white pills would have stopped, I started to spot, it's not a full period but it is annoying and has now been going on for a little more than a week. Is this normal, how long should the bleeding last, is is okay to be taking the blue pills while on my "period"??? ## Basically, your body was expecting that one week break from hormones and it didn't get it, you continued to take the hormone tablets. Hi! I've been on Lo Loestrin for 8 or so months, and it's been fine. I've never missed a pill. I do skip the last 2 brown pills. I had my period as expected a week and a half ago...but today I just started bleeding again! I thought spotting was supposed to happen in only the first 3 months. Any insights / should I be worried? OK, so I was on lutera first for 5 months. I got off it around like beginning of Feb then I got onto lo loerestrin fe. I missed pill the first month but I still bled 2 times that month. Now I am more consistent and took every pill around the hour I'm supposed to and of course I had just 2 little tiny spots of blood, that was it and I've been cramping and no bleeding. I never missed a period but I am new to birth control pills. The first was that lutera and I'm 29 with 1 daughter. I took a full month and after my last pill of the month I missed 3 days because the pharmacy was out of pills.. I've been on sprintec for about half a year now and never had problems. Recently I missed 2 blue pills and had intercourse within those days and now im spotting a week before the white pills. When you have your period while taking oral hormonal contraceptives, it is actually called a withdrawal bleed, because it is due to a withdrawal of the hormones. Hi i have been on microgynon my last withdrawal bleed was 5 days later than usual and very light more of a brown colour than red i missed one pill in the first week of my last packet. If you did have some spotting, it isn't very likely, but better to be sure than not, so you can put your mind at ease. I'm really good at taking my blue pill everyday, I do not think I've missed a single one until today...very odd but I was making my bed today and I found a blue pill in my blankets??!!! I have spotting around eighth day of my periods since last two times. I had been advised to take regestrnone from fifth day which I missed. I have been on Lo-loestrin since February of 2012. Every month since then I have had two periods a month. Until this month... I was late starting my period, and when I finally started it, I only spotted for one day. Could I be pregnant? ## If you haven't missed any pills, then it isn't very likely that you're pregnant. But these are hormonal based contraceptives, so they can cause menstrual irregularities. Learn more oral contraceptive details here. Have you contacted your doctor? With 2 periods a month and then this one also being unusual, you may just need to try a different birth control pill.

I missed two pills in week three this month, August. Missed my period and had light spotting due to the missed pills. I do not take the inactive pills, brown pills, and that has suited me well for the last 9 months. I started my new pack after the fourth week. I am a Sunday starter. I've been in lo loestrin fe for 5 months & for the last 2 and 1/2 weeks I've been spotting. I always take pill exactly when I have 2 & I haven't missed any pills. This forum and internet says this happens at beginning & after 3 months your body should b used to it & no spotting. I had recently taken plan b, I took it within 16hrs. My period was supposed to come roughly two weeks after I had taken it. All that had happened though was a little light brown discharge. It has now been two weeks since my missed period. I have taken 4 tests, 2 showed negative and the other two were unclear. Since the day I missed my period my stress levels have been sky high, seeing IM assuming I'm pregnant. This is also the third time in 6 months I have taken plan b. I have been taking Sprintec for about 5 years and I have never had this happen until now. On the second Monday of my pack, I completely forgot to take my pill, I discovered this on that Tuesday when I already found out that I was late for Tuesday too. So I took both pills for Monday and Tuesday, both were late. On an unwise decision, I had intercourse on Wednesday afternoon, and on Thursday morning I saw blood on my underwear.
