I started on 15mg mirtazapine 7 weeks ago and titrated up after 4 weeks to 30mg for 1 week; then back down to 15mg for the last week. I want off this awful medication. I feel completely spaced out all the time but am aware withdrawal is horrendous. I have been really agitated the past 48 hrs so I want to limit withdrawal symptoms as much as possible. I was going through a bad divorce, serious debts and being staked for 9 months by my ex husband of 26 years. I have had extensive counselling and am mentally in a much better place so I want to come off this poison ASAP safely. Thank you for your reply. ## Hello, Beth! How are you? Overall, divorces always suck, even if we have to do them for own good, I dealt with one back in 2009 and my new husband had to deal with one back in 2015, so I ...

My physician placed me on a 15mg dose of Mirtazapine beginning with just a 'half' dose for the 1st week. I tried this dosage for 2 nights and ended up having 'heigthened' throbbing and 'restless-like' syndrome of my entire body-especially the right side. I have Fibromyalgia, Renauds' syndrome and have suffered from years of sleep problems. I have been on varying doses of Elavil over the last 12 yrs but this no longer helps. I do suffer from mild depression, mostly due to work stresses but I have been on a medical leave since July 11'05 post rotator cuff surgery. Tonight I will be trying Ambien- 5mg dose. The claim that Mirtazapine is used to treat 'tremors' is contradictory in my case-seemed like it was causing mild tremor-like throbbing with my l...

My 24 year old overdosed on paracetamol and aspirin last week. She took over 40 tablets. After being released from hospital and seeing her local GP she has been given 14 day supply of this drug. Does Mirtazapine continue to cause drowsyness as long as it is taken, or does that (side) effect wear off in time? If so, how long does it take to wear off? ## Ive been on it for two years, you will def. feel drowsy when you wake up it will take at least and hour or two to wear off and It also seems to wear off once you keep yourself busy ## I have been on Mirtazapine for 9 months now - 15mg at night. I have been taking 15mg of Mirtazapine for three weeks. This was prescribed after suffering from insomnia and anxiety, with moderate to severe depression, for three months following complete withdrawal from the SSRI Citalopram (which I did very gradually, over three before this months as I thought I was stable enough to stand on my own two feet). My sleep improved immediately and I started to have some better days over the first two weeks. I know recovery should take time, and that the Mirtazapine takes at least 4 weeks to show its beneficial effects. On that basis, by the end of the second week I was feeling in a pretty good frame of mind and quite optimistic that I had finally turned a corner out of my anxiety. This third week has been a real disappointment though. My anxiety has got ...

Hi, iv only been taking 15mg Mirtazapine for a week and doubled the dose to 30mg last night. It had helped me sleep up until i doubled the dose. Although i wanted to sleep i had terrible aching in my hip, knee and shoulder bones. I am still aching today but not as bad. I have been on mirtazapine at 15mg for two weeks, I feel like a walking zombie and my moods are vile! I am agitated and hot tapered with my husband and children making me a nightmare to live with. Today the doctor has prescribed me 30mg as I have always been on such a high dose of Citalopram before we tapered off, that she thinks my side effects may be because I need more antidepressant in the system but agreed it might be because they don't suit me but we won't know until we've tried them for 5-6weeks. My question is will I always be tired and zombie like?...and also will I always be hot tempered and agitated? Or will these symptoms wear off as at the moment I just feel like stopping the damn things! Would really appreciate the opinions of those who have experienced this dr...

How do ambien 10mg pills compare to mirtazapine 15mg? Are they as strong as the ambien? ## You really can't compare the two, since they are in different medication classes. However, the Mirtazapine can be helpful for treating insomnia, depression, and anxiety, according to the FDA. Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings, and weight changes. But, the only way to find out if it will help you is by trying it. Have you started taking them, yet?
