Not every medication works for everyone that tries it. Have you experienced any of the side effects that the FDA lists, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth? Are you on any other medications?

i want all names, address for mirtazapin producer ## I cannot tell you the manufacturer unless you provide the imprint from the pill so I can look it up. Once a pill is available for generic manufacture, it is made by many, many companies, if you had a prescription the papers and bottle from the pharmacy should say who the manufacturer is, or as I said, you can provide the pill imprint so I can look it up for you, but without this information, I cannot help. There are thousands of companies that make generic drugs as well as name brands, so we couldn't even guess who manufactured the drug you are inquiring about. ## mirtazapin generic is manfuctured by sun pharma ## And that would be only 1 of the generic manufacturer's, there are many more. Which is why I said without knowing w...

Can you please let me know the effects of Mirtazipan which i have been prescribed for anxiety. I know of other friends who have taken it and they feel worse. I know of one person who said it helped. Does it take two weeks to get fully into the system and another two weeks to get out? I have also been told that it is prescribed for helping to get back into a good sleep pattern and should only be taken intermittently for about 3 days at a time and then a rest. Could you please advise. Many thanks. ## Mirtazapine is a tetracyclic antidepressant, to have its best effect in the body, it should be taken daily, just as prescribed by your doctor. It can take daily dosages for as long as 4 to 6 weeks, for it to reach its full effectiveness in your body and it can take just as long to cycle out, ...

Does this plll help panic attacks and does it act fast if am having a bad panic attack like a zanx ## Mirtazapine is actually an anti-depressant as opposed to an anti-anxiety like Xanax; however it is said to work by increasing certain types of activity in the brain to maintain mental balance. That to me, certainly sounds like it could have a positive impact on someone who might be experiencing a panic attack. The funny thing is, "anxiousness" and "confusion" are both listed as side effects of Mirtazapine. So I guess there's really no guarantee that it wont backfire Lol... Mirtazapine, sold under the brand name Remeron among others, is an atypical antidepressant, and as such is used primarily to treat depression.[8][9] Its effects may take up to four weeks, but can also manifest as early as one to two weeks.[9][10] It is often used in cases of depression complicated by anxiety or insomnia.[8][11] The effectiveness of Mirtazapine is comparable to other commonly prescr...

pill ## I want info on Mirtazatine ## I think the information being requested in these posts was most likely about Mirtazapine, which is an NaSSA antidepressant, that's also used to treat anxiety, as a hypnotic and to stimulate the appetite. It may cause side effects, such as weight gain due to stimulating the appetite, as well as drowsiness, dry mouth and blurred vision. Interestingly enough, there's a specific listing in the monograph that says it's also used to stimulate the appetite in anorexic cats...who knew? Are there any questions I can help with? Im on quetiapine MR 700mgs a day i also take sertraline 100mgs a day , tramadol 200mgs daily , depakote 1000mgs daily, and zolpidem 10mgs at night , my doctor is thinking about putting me on mirtazapine 45mgs daily i wanted to know if this is safe with all my other meds i have mentioned ? ## Many of the medications you've listed can affect serotonin levels, so adding another one creates the risk of your developing serotonin syndrome, which can be dangerous. It's not that they can't be combined, but it must be done very carefully, with the doses taken under careful consideration and the patient being regularly monitored. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Mirtazapine as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight gain. Are you seei...

SMALL GREEN ROUND PILL WITH AN A ON TOP AND 214 ON THE BOTTOM ## Pill Image THIS IS NOT MIRTAZAPINE!!! This is a narcotic pain reliever, Oxycodone 15mgs, Instant Release, a generic for Oxyfast. Mirtazapine is an antidepressant, so not even related to this. ## Verwon correct as usual. This is 15mg IR Oxycodone HCl made by Actavis. The A215 blue pill of same size and design is 30mg.

WHAT IS THE PROPER WAY TO GET OFF mirtazapine 15 mg after taking it for 3 weeks? ## Hi Ben, This is just my opinion, but usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. In addition to that, I'd also suggest making yourself a tapering schedule on a calendar to track your progress and keep you on the right path to complete your goal within a specific time frame. Without a way to track your progress, tapering can sometimes be much more difficult than it needs to be. I hope this advice helps! ## Thanks. Your idea is what I w...

My physician placed me on a 15mg dose of Mirtazapine beginning with just a 'half' dose for the 1st week. I tried this dosage for 2 nights and ended up having 'heigthened' throbbing and 'restless-like' syndrome of my entire body-especially the right side. I have Fibromyalgia, Renauds' syndrome and have suffered from years of sleep problems. I have been on varying doses of Elavil over the last 12 yrs but this no longer helps. I do suffer from mild depression, mostly due to work stresses but I have been on a medical leave since July 11'05 post rotator cuff surgery. Tonight I will be trying Ambien- 5mg dose. The claim that Mirtazapine is used to treat 'tremors' is contradictory in my case-seemed like it was causing mild tremor-like throbbing with my l...

Our 13 year old Maine Coon mix is in the last stages of renal failure. We didn't know anything was wrong until about a month ago when she stopped eating. It's been up and down ever since her diagnosis. Our vet prescribed Mirtazapine but, after reading the many negative comments, we put off giving it to her as long as we could. We finally had to because the effects of not eating in cats are liver shutdown and death. She's had no serious adverse reaction to Mirtazapine, and it has definitely helped her appetite. It is buying her a little more quality time with us. I certainly wouldn't use or give this drug lightly, but as some posters have noted, in the end it's a risk v.s benefit judgment call. ## I am very sorry to read of what you are going through. I am not very kn...

Ive been prescribed 15mg tablets of mirtazapine but a little worried about taking them, are they very similar to sertaline , are they classed as anti-depressants or are they sleeping tablets. Please help thank you in advance ## I am taking migraine for one week and have not been able to sleep for 3 days now . All night long I am awake . Please help me and let me know what to do. My dr. Tells me I have to fight it. I feel awful. All I do is like awake hours. ## Hello, Julie! How are you? Yes, it is a classified as an antidepressant, though in a different class than Sertraline. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight changes. Hi I have been taking Mirtazapine 15mg for one week. I am either crazy angry or crying, my head won't stop thinking about everything I need to get done, I can't remember where I have put things or what I was thinking about, I feel very nervous & agitated, I cannot sit down & relax but on the upside I'm sleeping well.... Help!! ## Hello, Adele! How are you doing? Has there been any change? That can happen, when you first start taking this type of medication, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes. However, things usually improve after about 3 to 4 weeks, once your body gets used to the medication. If they do not, or if they worsen, you should consult your doctor as you may need to try a different medic...

can anyone advise me how to reduce my dosage from 45mg down ## Hello, Tommie! How are you? You should follow you doctor's instructions. Generally, the modern preferred method is to have someone gradually reduce their dosage, while starting to skip days, such as going down to 40mgs on Monday, then skipping Tuesday, then taking the 40mgs again on Wednesday. Do that for a week, then reduce to 35mgs the next week and so on. The FDA lists the possibly withdrawal effects as including nausea, dizziness, fever, chills, rebound pain, depression and mood swings. Is there anything else I can help with?

I need a pic of this pill, its white round blank on one side and a capital E over numbers 333 on the other side. It is a generic brand ## Hi scott, Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a picture of pill that matches the description you provided. However, I believe that the pill may have been manufactured by Sandoz Pharmaceuticals (Eon Labs). The closest match I've found is a round light yellow pill with the imprint E 144 divided by a score line. If you google image "yellow pill E 144" You should be able to find the pill I've described. Based on my research, the E logo on this pill is the logo for Sandoz Pharmaceuticals (Eon Labs). Hopefully this information will help you to narrow down your search! Has anyone seen a pill like the one scott has described? If so, ...

orangeish round pill with 212 on one side and nothing on the other. Looks different than the mirtazapine pills we got last month. Those were a brownish color and oval. ## I cannot find any pills that are orange and round, with just a 212 on them listed in either of the prescription drug databases that I use. The only suggestion I have is to go back and ask your pharmacy to double check and make sure they gave you the correct pills.

I started on 15mg mirtazapine 7 weeks ago and titrated up after 4 weeks to 30mg for 1 week; then back down to 15mg for the last week. I want off this awful medication. I feel completely spaced out all the time but am aware withdrawal is horrendous. I have been really agitated the past 48 hrs so I want to limit withdrawal symptoms as much as possible. I was going through a bad divorce, serious debts and being staked for 9 months by my ex husband of 26 years. I have had extensive counselling and am mentally in a much better place so I want to come off this poison ASAP safely. Thank you for your reply. ## Hello, Beth! How are you? Starting Paxil from Mirtazapine, all the hype of Mirtazapine is wrong. It works for about 3 weeks, then pooooooph done. Has anyone tapered to Paxil from Mirtazapine? IF SO, WAS IT PAINLESS OR POINTLESS? ## Not every medication works for everyone that tries it. I am sorry the Mirtazapine didn't work well for you, but there are many people that do experience good results with it. Paxil always worked well for my ex-husband, though I've not taken it myself. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings, and weight changes. Can anyone that's switched from one to the other chime in with their experiences?
