Migraine is a chronic neurological disorder characterized by recurrent moderate to severe headaches often in association with a number of autonomic nervous system symptoms. The word derives from the Greek μικρανα (hemikrania), "pain on one side of the head",[1] from μι- (hemi-), "half", and κρανον (kranion), "skull".[2] Typically the headache is unilateral (affecting one half of the head) and pulsating in nature, lasti...

We have some american headache pills that we have lost the packaging to so we don't know the full name of the tablet. The abreviation on the blue pill is TY C365. We would like to know the full name of the pill and where to order them ## This is actually just a Tylenol PM tablet that contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen and 25mgs of Diphenhydramine, it is meant to help with pain and sleep problems. There are many websites that have them available, because they are over the counter products in the U.S. but it would probably be cheaper to find a medication locally that has the same ingredients. Is there anything else I can help with?

Has anyone experienced migraine headaches while taking Amlodipine? ## No headaches but watched my blood pressure increase up to 200/95 immediately after it was swallowed. In the beginning it was okay but they changed manufacturers and who knows what inactive ingredients were added. Quit taking it and now only take Brand name Dyazide 37.5mg/25 mg capsule once a day in the morning same time every day. I even tried brand name NORVASC (amlodipine besylate) and that increased my blood pressure up to stroke levels. ## I have had no problem with Amlodipine. It has finally been the answer to my blood pressure problems. I was given 2.5 mg and it didn't help much but my doctor added another 2.5 mg at night and it's been wonderful. I have the 5mg to take - just in case. We tried that first...

I have a Migraine Headache & my Dr prescribed this. Will it work? And will it make me sleepy? ## Metoclopramide is an antiemetic and gastroprokinetic agent, in the absence of other reasons for migraines, it is sometimes given if your doctor feels that there's a chance that gastric statis is causing the migraines. And yes, it can cause drowsiness and fatigue, as side effects, along with constipation and hypotension. ## Metoclopramide is reportedly effective in the treatment of both the pain and nausea of migraine headaches. Common adverse drug reactions associated with Metoclopramide therapy include restlessness, drowsiness, dizziness, fatigue, and focal dystonia.

I have been seeing a pain management specialist for about a year. We have tried just about every extended release along with breakthrough opioid oral medications, always inching from lowest dose to higher. But I also have severe chronic digestive problems which makes it very difficult to take oral medications . So my doctor put me on the fentanyl patch, but on day three I developed such a migraine headache I thought my eye would pop out. Is this a common side effect from fentanyl, and would it occur that long after application of the patch? It should be mentioned that on day three I also developed a case of shingles, so I am unsure which was the cause of the headache, the patch or the shingles. So my doctor put me back on the oral meds, but we're back to square one since I still hav...

Does anyone know of an effective pain killer for Trapezius Muscle Tension Migraine Headache? I used Fiorinal with Codeine by Watson, Brand Name Only, since 1998. But something is not the same about that drug anymore. It simply does not knock out the pain. I am not addicted to it. I am able to go days without it, when there is no pain and I can function. It's too bad that the drug has been changed in some way, because my life is now spent on the couch most days of the month because of the unrelenting excruciating musculoskeletal migraines. I am trying to find another pain killer, since Fiorinal with Codeine has been changed and no longer works. I wish the manufacturer(s) would listen to us who use their product and believe us when we tell them the change they've made in the drug ...

I've been having headaches accompanied by nausea to the point of having to lay down with them. Is it time to contact my doctor? ## Yes, it definitely is, anytime you experience a headache that is worse than one you've ever had, before, or causes you to experience new symptoms, you should have it checked out. The NIH lists other symptoms as possibly including visual auras. Are you on any other medications? Have you ever experienced migraines in the past?

I used to have a really bad headache that lasted the whole day. Sometimes it hurt so much that I started beating my head, but when i concentrate on a specific thing I'll feel relaxed. Even a small harsh voice would irritate me to such an extent that I cry out! HELP ME! ## I'm seeking relief for a chronic daily headache. After 35 years and numerous treatments, I wonder if there is a cure (short of a labodomy) for this condition that takes over your life. We have medication that is a little help but does not eliminate the headache that can easily turn into a migraine. I'm on day 2 and have headaches, almost migraines. Does this side effect go away? And how long before I know if I'm a responder to this medication? The possible side effects scare me but I've been dieting and excersizing for 4 months and have lost 11 lbs but can't seem to shake the cravings and desire to keep eating, my PCP RX'd me this and I saved for it ($160 total with $75 off coupon). Just don't wanna keep taking if these headaches won't go away and if it doesn't "work" for me. ## Hello, Ricababy! How are you? Yes, headaches can be a normal side effect and it may take about 4 weeks, before they start to taper off, as your body gets used to the medication, that's about the same time span it will take, before you'll know if it's work...

My neurologist tells me I have migraines. I generally do not have headaches, if I do they are mild. Nothing more than annoying, really. The thing I went to him for is numbness and tingling in my extremities, and in my face. It scares me, to the point of anxiety. It starts in my hands/feet, sometimes makes it all the way to my elbows/calves. He prescribed topiramate, commonly called Topamax, in increasing doses. The symptoms gradually faded, but today all of a sudden are worse. I've been taking the medicine, I'm still a week or so from my follow up, and it's pretty impossible to get in otherwise. Anyone else have "silent migraines"? ## Hello, Spiderdaisy! How are you doing? Yes, those are the symptoms of silent migraines and the medication may not prevent them all, pl...

Stopped taking lyrica and I thought since my dr told me it was non addictive i would be alright. I tried being intimate with my wife and all was ok until this massive pain in the back of my head stopped me in my tracks. I thought i would die. What can I do? ## Hello, Archie! How are you feeling? I'm sorry about the headache. According the NIH, any time you experience a headache like that, you should seek emergency medical attention. There is a risk that it isn't due to stopping the medication. How much were you taking? The FDA lists the typical withdrawal effects as possibly including nausea, chills, fever, diarrhea and rebound pain. Stopping it abruptly also creates the risk of seizures and there is a type of seizure that is commonly mistaken for a migraine, so that could be wh...

I am suffering cluster headaches ever since my college years til now & I'm 31, yrs. old and a mother of 1. I take Mefenamic Acid capsules and Ibuprofens. But none of these worked to eventually stop the pain and pulsating around my eye or temple for several times within a week in long hours with extreme intensities. Please help me. ## Having suffered cluster headaches now since I was 15? (And am now 37) I have found, unfortunately, that once the pain begins absolutely nothing will help. Trust me I've tried it all! I'm on Contrave almost 3 mos and lost 29 lbs...that's the great part, but lately I am getting the worst headaches, usually over one eye . Lately I've been getting 3 headaches a week and all I could do is lay in bed. Sometimes ice on my head feels better or even the pressure from the pillow being on my head to block out the light helps. I went to my prescribing doctor and she said headaches are a side effect. Other than a headaches my only other side effect is dry mouth. My doctor said the headache should go away as this does happen to a few patients on this meds. Advil migraine doesn't seem to help so I really don't know what else I could take with contrave. If I wasn't on contrave this kind of headache would definitely be gone with a Vicodin! But I know I cannot...

I used to get a headache or pain reliever medicine in Tijuana in the 1980s that worked wonders for a friend who got migraines. It was not available in the USA as far as I know. I remember little about it except that it came in a cardboard box about 2" X 4" X 1/2" and I think the name was fairly long, maybe 4 syllables or more. I think it came in white tablets that were fairly large, though I am not sure that recollection is accurate. I think I would recognize the name if I saw or heard it but I just cannot recall it from my memory. Thanks so much for any help/ ## I'm sorry, but that's really not much information to go on, there are many products on the market that match such a description and since it was coming out of Mexico, there is a large list of medications it ...

I was given 50 mg. of Demerol and 4 mg. of Dilaudid for a headache. I have had many meds before for migraines but I was disoriented for three days and my skin was crawling and I was so weak, is that a high dosages at once? ## That would be my guess, the Dilaudid was too strong for you to jump right to it. It is a very strong narcotic, hydromorphone, that is why it is only 4mgs, it is very potent. If you aren't already tolerant to narcotics, then jumping to that dose will cause the problems you were having, as well as some withdrawals if you took a few and then quit taking it altogether. There are other alternatives that you can try, so rather than live with the adverse effects, talk to your doctor about maybe just trying to Demerol for awhile, or Percocet, Vicodin, something like th...

I took one pill of bel iq and A few hours later I had a massive migraine, nausea, and vomiting. I slept and still , two days later, I have a headache, a milder headache, but still a headache. I have read all the side effects, so I know what Belviq does to some, but I haven't heard mine happening to anyone else. I haven't taken another pill and was wondering if I should or not. ## I have never heard of Belviq and don't know what it's taken for. I just want to reply to this post because it worries me. Massive headache, and vomiting? That can be a sign of a brain aneurism. Perhaps rare, but can be deadly. I would get that checked out. ## Hi Lou - that's a bummer, sorry to hear about your experience. It definitely sounds like you are among those adversely affected by thi...
