Hi, I am taking microgynon contraceptive pill and my concerned is that I am on the last brown pill but l can't see my periods. Is there any problem with this? ## I was on Jadelle for 1 year and 3 months. I got it removed in January because of non stop spotting. I had unprotected intercourse a week after and I took 3 pills of microgynon in the morning and 3 at night. I got my period on the 9th of February which lasted 7 days. I had unprotected intercourse again on the 11th day post menses and I was wondering if I can be pregnant? I did a home test today and it was negative. What may be the problem? ## I had forgotten my pill packet of Microgynon at home and travelled to another town where it appears to be out of stock. Can I continue with Oralcon-F as a viable substitute?

On the first day I took it, I had an upset stomach in the middle of the night. I'v been using microgynon for 2months but its out of stock and have been give oralcon. Is it safe? ## I have been using mycrogynon for two month now. The thing is that it is out of stock and I was given oralcon as a replacement. My question is, is it safe to change from one contraceptive to the other. ## Yes, there shouldn't be any problem, unless your doctor says otherwise, you should be able to just do a clean switch from one to the other. Hello, I have been using Microgynon 30 Ed Bayer for 8 months and then this month it went out of stock so I choose to take Trust pills then I noticed on the ingredients that the Levonorgestrel dosage of trust pills is lower than the Bayer pill. Should this affect the protection from pregnancy? will it put me into risk of getting pregnant? By the way before I took the trust pill I already finished the Bayer pill.. ## Hello, Juliana! Hi i have been on microgynon my last withdrawal bleed was 5 days later than usual and very light more of a brown colour than red i missed one pill in the first week of my last packet. Could this mean i am pregnant because i had intercourse the same day i missed the pill and didnt use any other protection? ## Hello, Yaz! How are you? Yes, it's possible if you completely missed a tablet, but only a PT will let you know for sure. If you did have some spotting, it isn't very likely, but better to be sure than not, so you can put your mind at ease. In the future, you need to find some way to remind yourself to take them, such as an app on your phone. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hello, I started taking Loestrin 20 last month, after 4 months of being on Microgynon (which had bad effects on me). I took it for 21 days and then stopped, as I had been advice by the doctor. However, I have a 12 day delay on my period (41 days since my last period) and I am a bit concerned.. I have done 2 pregnancy tests and they were both negative so I am wondering what else can be wrong? Also, just to clarify, I havent started taking the pill again. Thanks a lot. ## There may not necessarily be anything wrong, it could just be due to your body adjusting to the hormones in the new contraceptive. It is normal to have irregularities for the first 3 months or so of taking a new one. However, you should consult your doctor to be certain, they may want to run some tests or do an exam. But...

I am suffering from over bleeding since Feb 14 to till date. I got a miscarriage in September. After miscarriage I got regular period for 3 months. I was prescribed Tranexamic Acid 500mg 2 tabs 4 times a day. No progress. Later, I used Microgynon 30, one tab each day. The periods reduced only during the medication. Now, I used Northisterone 5mg 3 times a day for 10 days. During these 10 days it was reduced and at a point stopped. But I finished the tablets yesterday. Hi, I've been taking Qlaira for 2 years. Unfortunately they stop producing Qlaria all over the world. What pills have the same effect? I'm using it to control my menstrual flow, I'm a heavy bleeder. Thanks. ## I'm not sure where you live, but Bayer makes a brand called Natazia which appears to contain a similar ingredient profile. Both Qlaria [1] and Natazia [2] appear to contain a combination of Estradiol Valerate and Dienogest as part of the cycle. How long after taking femiane can I have unprotected sex? ## i finished my first pack of femiane birth control pill on wednesday the 1st of july and i started a new brand called microgynon ed to delay my period on thursday 2nd of july. i had unprotected sex on that same thursday. can i get pregnant?
