i get high levels of viginal yeast after taking ni primolut tablet, is it a side effect? ## To answer your question directly, yes, having taken oral contraceptives, such as Primolut (norethindrone) is a big contributing factor toward yeast infection. Eating foods high in refined carbs and living a highly stressful lifestyle are additional common factors. I recommend Donna Gate's Book, The Body Ecology Diet, toward reducing the yeast in your gut. If you can shift your food toward 80% alkalizing fruits and veggies and 20% acid forming foods (mostly meat, fish, poultry, eggs, rice - even brown rice), it will be a big step toward setting up an environment that encourages beneficial microbes and discourages the yeast. Lots of fiber is essential though, veggies, fruit, veggies, fruit, and...

Are there any side effects or benefits of taking them together that you can point out for me? ## All medications carry the risk of side effects, whether using them alone or with other drugs. The Micronor is actually a contraceptive tablet, but in the Norethindrone class. It can cause side effects such as: nausea, drowsiness, headache and weight gain. The Metformin is actually an oral antidiabetic drug that has been shown, in some case, to help treat PCOS for some women. Its side effects can include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and low blood sugar. The only interaction listed is that when the Metformin is be...

Is bleeding and some clots normal when taking contraceptive pills? ## Hello, Shine! How are you? 1st month taking microgestin fe 1/20, Bleeding heavy for 8days ,my usual period only last up to 5 days. I have 4brown pills left ,should I stop taking the pills or continue ? ## Hello, Silky! How are you? Since this is a hormonal based contraceptive, irregular bleeding can occur for the first 3 months, or so, while your body is getting used to the hormonal change. If it continues past 3 months, then it might not be the right one for you and you may need to switch to a different OC. Other side effects may include nausea, headache and mood swings. Hello, I started taking Loestrin 20 last month, after 4 months of being on Microgynon (which had bad effects on me). I took it for 21 days and then stopped, as I had been advice by the doctor. However, I have a 12 day delay on my period (41 days since my last period) and I am a bit concerned.. I have done 2 pregnancy tests and they were both negative so I am wondering what else can be wrong? Also, just to clarify, I havent started taking the pill again.
