what is this pill going to do to your system is it good to take before going to bed I take it 4 times a day any infor will help thanks john ## Hello, John! How are you? This is a high potency potassium supplement that's prescribed when someone's level has fallen dangerously low or if they are on medications that may cause it to fall dangerously low. Its most prominent side effect is stomach irritation, so it should be taken with food. It would also be best not to lay down within a half hour or so of taking it, so it should be taken awhile before going to bed. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## When is the best time of day to take, POT CL MICRO, 20MG ? ## What time of day is best to take, POT CL MICRO 20mg ?

Hi. I am a 55 year old white male who has high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol and a high level of microalbumin. My physician has advised me to take diovan 400 to treat the microalbumin case. I need to know your opinion please, many thanks. ## Hello, Assad! How are you? Yes, as reported by the NIH, it has been shown to help lower it in those who suffer from type 2 diabetes. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is there a lower dose than 100 mg of Prometrium? ## Hi Kathryn, From what I could gather, 100mg is the lowest dose available... I just read an article saying that Prometrium Capsules are available in multiple strengths to afford dosage flexibility for optimum management; however, these Prometrium Capsules are only noted to contain 100 mg or 200 mg micronized progesterone (Which tells me that they do not in-fact offer it in "multiple strengths"; but rather, just a couple unfortunately). I hope this helps!

I was prescribed micronor for uterine bleeding, due to thickening of the uterine lining caused by pcos and palafer (iron pills). I am also taking metformin as a treatment for pcos. Are there any side effects or benefits of taking them together that you can point out for me? ## All medications carry the risk of side effects, whether using them alone or with other drugs. The Micronor is actually a contraceptive tablet, but in the Norethindrone class. It can cause side effects such as: nausea, drowsiness, headache and weight gain. The Metformin is actually an oral antidiabetic drug that has been shown, in some case, to help treat PCOS for some women. Its side effects can include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and low blood sugar. The only interaction listed is that when the Metformin is be...

How many should a 78 year old female take daily. ## Hi, Rick! This is a prescription potassium supplement, so she should only be taking it if her doctor has instructed her to do so and then only in the prescribed amount each day. Low potassium can be dangerous, since it is vital to heart function, as well as quite a few other body functions, but too much can be just as dangerous. It also needs to be swallowed whole and preferably taken with a small meal, since it can be very irritating to the stomach. How much is she taking?

I have ben taking Co Diovan for HBP for a year and a week ago was admited to the ICU for a ministroke and blood pressure over 200. Is it possible that Co Diovan (not on other medications) is responsible for this? ## Co-Diovan contains the active ingredients Valsartan and Hydrochlorothiazide and is commonly used to help lower high blood pressure. As to what you experienced, with a BP reading of over 200, it is more than likely that your blood pressure being so high is what is responsible and not likely the medication. Mini strokes and full blown strokes are just some of the hazards associated with ones blood pressure being out of control and high. It's possible that after a year of using the medication, your body had adjusted to it and it is no longer working as well to control your ...
