I am 5 days late on period. Took a pregnancy test yesterday came up negative. I was on metro pill 500mg twice day for a week. Was suppose to get my period about 4/5 aftwr taking last of medicine. I had to take a diflucan too cause the meds give me a yeast infection. Could the metro pills possibly be making me late? Did i take a preg test too early? It was an EPT test. I have been on Doxycycl for 3 days. I am also on Metronidazole vaginal for a bacterial infection. Took last night for the first time. Today I have a mucousy like discharge. I was diagnosed with BV and a yeast infection over a week ago. I was prescribed the two meds above. I took diflucan immediately, and the metronidazole for five days before the side effects took over my body (mouth sores, stomach pains and cramps, nausea). After day five, I couldn't take it anymore and took the second diflucan because along with the side effects, I just experienced a frequency in urination, burning and itching, but not in the way of a typical UTI. I went back to urgent care and the doc said it didn't look like BV, but yeast, and prescribed topicals that aren't making the itching or pain any better. Can two antibiotics be used at the same time? My husband was prescribed Metronidazole 250mg (1pill 3x's a day) and Clindamycin 150mg (2 pills -3x's a day) for a foot infection. ## Those both aren't actually in the same classification. I have been given flagyl and vagaisil...but i started taking them this will be my 3rd day but i am getting abdominal pain and cramps really bad. Exactly what is this antibiotic for and is it a broad spectrum antibiotic? I got it today for vaginal infection which I stuggle to get rid off. I need a sulfer based antibiotic. I get extremely severe yeast infections when I take regular anitbiotics. I ws prescibed a sulfer based one years ago and I cant remember the name of it.
