Hello Dr, I'm 41 year male 75kg weight 175cm height, Suddenly yesterday evening time having a gastric and feeling heavy on stomach, There after drunk a water which was room temperature. After Feeling better. Had a normal routine dinner. Rice and soup with green vegetable curry. This morning stomach was paining. As usual gone to washroom realised had a too watery dahoria. However, after taking metrogyl for one day, my stools became looser. I am at a lose to know what I should do now. ## Most antibiotics can cause diarrhea as a side effect, according to FDA reports. i take pantop tab with metrogyle tab before one month it makes reaction/Allergy but on dated 21/09/2010 I take pantop tab with ciplox Tz it doing reaction/allergy again pl advised me what happens ## If you are having an allergic reaction to a medication, it is not going to stop, it will happen again, every time you take the medication. There is no cure for an allergy. Have you contacted your doctor for an alternative medication to try?

My wife was suffering from gum problems. Dr gave her Metrogyl gel to apply to her gums. Now Metrogyl contains Ornidazole. After application for a day she complained of stomach pain. Can application of Ornidazole inside the mouth cause stomach pains? ## Metrogyl actually contains the active ingredient Metronidazole, it's similar to, but not the same as Ornidazole. And yes, it could cause stomach pain and nausea, because even applied topically to her gums, she is still going to swallow a slight amount of it. Has she consulted her dentist? my daughter is 3 yrs old suffering with loose motion (like water) from morning 7 times given metrogyl syurp 5ml twice and Econorm twice. but, no improvement can u suggest me. ## When it involves a child like this, a doctor needs to be consulted. Diarrhea in a young child can lead very easily to dehydration, which could put their lives in danger. I can't stress it enough, when it's a real issue like this involving a young child, please seek medical attention. Do not post on a free website and wait for help. I am sufferng from diahorrea with mucus in stool for last 2 months. Doctor prescribed Fludac 10 along with other medicines ( Metrogyl compound etc.) Does the medicine help? ## Fludac contains the active ingredient Fluoxetine, which is an SSRI antidepressant. And I am really not sure if this one makes any sense, because it can cause diarrhea as a side effect, along with drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. I live in Bangalore. I have been suffering from chronic pharyngitis and laringitise. So far I have take five courses of antibiotics no results. Doctor says this could be due to certain allergy.
