I would like to know if this medication can cause a burning sensation on the ankles and the back of your legs. My mom is 86 and when she takes this medication she has severe burning sensation which is only alleviated when she walks. ## And it only occurs for awhile after she takes it, or is it there all the time? As to whether or not it was part of the recall, I can't tell you anything, without knowing the manufacturer of the particular pills you have receive, since this a generic that is made by several different companies and not all were involved in the recall. However, it is doubtful that they are, since your pharmacy would have already removed anything that met the criteria of the recall from their shelves and returned them, so they are not dispensed to the public. What is the difference in metoprolol tart and metoprolol er? ## If it is just listed as Metoprolol Tartrate, then it is the regular release version of the medication. If it is listed as Metroprolol ER, then it is a controlled released version meant to be taken once daily. I have white coat and anxiety. My doctor has had me on Metoprolol 100mg succinate once a day and just switched me to 100mg tartrate twice a day since my BP was high in his office. Is this dangerous or the dosage too high? Seems like a high dosage. ## Hello, Kera! How are you? What are your bp levels at other times? If it's really only high, when you're in the doctor's office, a medication isn't necessary. Even an ER won't treat for that, they will only do so if levels are dangerously elevated. Oval pill, scored in the center, marked 358 on the unscored side. Was allegedly supposed to be a generic for Toprol 200 mg. However pharmacist dispensed twice as many as the perscription stated, with no change in directions. Manufacturer does not show this pill on its info. page. ## I should be taking 50 mg tablets however a refill from Walmart has pills marked 831. I am scared to use them. Can I use them?

it is a pink pill with number m 32 on it i want to to know what it is for ## i take this medication twice daily. it is for people with high blood pressure but my doctor also found that it slows my heart rate down. i live with a pulse of approx. 125-135 on a normal bases. i take 1/2 a pill morning and night. i've been taking it for about 2 years now and it seems to do the trick. metoprolol tarta is the off brand of the prescription drug lopressor. ## I also take this drug to help reduce my blood pressure. This drug help reduce my systolic number, but not my diastolic number. The Dr. started me on metoprolol 25 mg in the p.m. Then when the palpitations and afib came back it went to twice a day a.m. and p.m.. In the last fhree months I have experienced more sleepless nights and anxiety and was blaming it on my nerves....NO, this medicine is not kind to the body or mind in my opinion!
