Can you tell me the difference between the above med. and Metoprolol TAB TAR 100 MG? Thank you ## Metoprolol Suc (Succinate) ER is an extended release (hence the ER in the name) tablet. Metoprolol Tar (Tartrate) is an immediate release medication. Would you happen to know if these two drugs are coming from different manufacturers? I have had high blood pressure for quite some time. I was diagnosed with an irregular heart beat also.I was taking lisinopral 20mg 2 times daily. The dr changed bp meds to metoprolor er 25mg.I got it refilled and recieved metoprolor tart 25mg. Is there a difference? Should I call the pharmacy can't reach the dr. Please give me some advice.
