This voluntary action by Sandoz is due to deficiencies in documentation practices and in-process controls for this product. My doctor just put on Metoprolol ER Succinate 25 mg is this part of the recent recall? ## Metoprolol is a beta blocker that is used to treat hypertension and some cardiac problems. As to whether or not it was part of the recall, I can't tell you anything, without knowing the manufacturer of the particular pills you have receive, since this a generic that is made by several different companies and not all were involved in the recall. However, it is doubtful that they are, since your pharmacy would have already removed anything that met the criteria of the recall from their shelves and returned them, so they are not dispensed to the public. I would like to know why I have this drug metoprolol succinate ER 25 if it was recalled. Is it now considerred safe? Has the lawsuit been heard yet? I want off of this stuff and am so ticked that my doctor not only put me on it but never explained any symtoms, or how it should be taken. was this medication recalled. how dangerous of a drug is it ## I haven't found anything listing it as having been recalled and I also checked the FDA recalls listing. And the last thing from Wockhardt that I found listed as a recall was a narcotic pain medication over a year ago and that wasn't in the U.S. Learn more Metoprolol details here. my dr gave me metoprolol er (time release) today. 25mg to help lower my heart rate and blood pressure. I took it and about 3 hrs later stared feeling so strange. my face got real hot and it feels like there pressure in my head. I read that the generic brand could be different than the name brand toprol xl and that it could spike blood pressure.
