I have taken Methimazole 10mg 4 tablets a day. I started it in March and at the end of April I looked as if I had the chicken pox. It was a terrible reaction that was possible sulfate poisoning? ## From what I have gathered a rare allergic reaction to taking this medication is difficulty breathing, rash that may cause itching, swelling, and dizziness. I have been on methimazole for approx. 4 yrs after being diagnosed w/ graves disease in 2011. My doc wanted me to take nuclear medicine, but i'm avoiding that as I don't want the "pop eyes" etc, along with it. I am on 15 mgs of methimazole down from 20 mgs 2 months ago. Which pill is better for hyperthyroidism, methimazole or propylthiouracil? One is a 10mg and the other is 50mg, so which one is the best to take? ## Which medication has your doctor recommended for you? It really depends on what type of thyroid condition is being treated. The FDA lists typical side effects of them both as possibly including nausea, dizziness, weight changes, hair loss, and mood changes. Are you on any other medications?

it is white with an m on the front and a 20 on the back it is round and has a line going threw it ## M 4 this contains 4mgs of Hydromorphone, the active ingredient in Dilaudid, this is a narcotic pain reliever. Taking 50mg of Methimazole daily for past 3 months. It seems like my symptoms are getting worse with anxiety, depression, and lack of sleep. (Hyperthyroidism) Can it be caused by Methimazole?
