I have been prescribed methadone 10mg 360 tabs a month for chronic nerve damage in my back and right leg. Ive been prescribed methadone for 4years by the same doctor. Just this month my Dr has been ill and has canceled all appts. What should i do? Do you know of any drs. I don't know what to do I usually use a mail order pharmacy but I don't have anything to hold me over for 7 days where can I get this script filled in Palm Beach county. FL .. I have been out for 3 days now and I am 53 and paralyzed.

It's not just methadone it's all narcotics. Florida won't fill any narcotic. Believe me we've tried. We next day air the script to our family in minneapolis, they go to our pharmacy for us, fill and ship back to us. I have been on methadone for about 10 yrs. I hate how people treat you, the stigma, but the workers and so called nurses should treat you with some level of respect and not a junkie. I need help finding a doctor in Michigan to prescribe me Methadone. Right now it is so hard and expensive, not to mention they are so hard to get they are around maybe once a month. I have just moved to south FL. and been on methadone for 10 years. I have all my records, but Dr's. in FL are all scared to take on new people from out of state. After 18 years of filling my methadone prescription in Sevierville, TN., I can no longer find a pharmacy that will fill it because my Doctor is in another city than where I live. I recently had bi-lateral knee replacement revisions. (These last two made 9 surgeries). I have a prescription for OC/30. I take one tablet every 8 hours. I take 10 mg oxycodone as my break through meds. I sent a family member to pick up my Oxycontin 30's. There was 21 pills. She never brought them to me. I don't know how many she took or sold, but she is in rehab now. I want to call my dr and tell him I don't have my meds, but what will happen? Do I have to turn her in, even though she is in rehab?
