I am wanting to get a puscription for methadone because I realy am having a hard time on getting back on track as a normul life ## Hello, Guera! How are you? I seen the info above about any Methadone Doctors that will prescribe it in pill form in the Greenville NC area. I am currently paying 300 a month at the clinic and I am trying to start detoxing off as well. I am on 70mg. I been on it going on 3 yrs in December and I just would really like to have the pills and pay less money, not have to go to the clinic each day, and detox slowly with a private Dr help. How long do these pills last? I'm on 100mgs of pink liquid methadone from a clinic & I also got the tablets, so do I take all 10 pills at once if a 100mgs??? I don't know. They want to prescribe it to me for bad pain as insurance won't cover OxyContin or Codeine products anymore. ## Yes. By all means..being only on methadone to stay clean IS going to save your life not to mention being able to function normally..jobs etc.won't have to EVER chase illicit drugs again if you are serious about staying clean. Don't worry..because I have been on it 35 plus years. No issues being normal if you have made your mind up to stay off the boy forevermore. I have been fine. Now 67. However, prescription tablets are required to have markings, so we can rule it out as being Methadone. Kelly, the marking is needed to identify a tablet. I want to know any effects that Mehadone 5 mg has on the body. I took it two nights and made me ill. ## Methadone is a synthetic opioid; a few of its common side effects are: Hypoventilation, Constipation, Constricted pupils, Nausea, Low blood pressure, Hallucination Headache, Vomiting, Cardiac arrhythmia, and Anorexia. Trying to find doctors near Devon and Western in N Chicago that can prescribe methadone for pain treatment. ## Any doctor can prescribe it for pain, however, you may run into problems if you're calling new doctors and asking if they'll prescribe it, since most doctors will consider that to be drug seeking behavior. You need to make sure you get an appointment and get in the door first, then discuss your options with them. Learn more Methadone details here. class work -however i am having trouble finding this ## VA had me on methadone for over 15 years. ..volunteered for methadone cessation with the VA because I kept going into DTs because USPS/UPS kept delaying my meds. Sometimes it would take a week to get my RX. ....then, when I dropped below 25mg, the cramps diarrhea and associated pain was causing me to be suicidal. I can't get a doctor's referral because VA doctors don't work with "outside" doctors. Of course, they won't allow me to withdraw from the program now. My God, I wish I were dead. I am new to the methadone and was wondering why my doctor would put me on methadone when he knew I had been addicted to Oxycontin before and had to go into the hospital for the withdrawals. They put me on the liquid methadone to get me off of the Oxycontin. How bad is it going to be to get off of the methadone if that time ever comes? if i take a methadone in the morning then do an oxy later will i still get high on the oxy ## Doubledizzle..How many MG's of methadone are you taking? Methadone will block any other narcotic if you are taking it for addiction, if you are taking it for pain, you are likely taking a lot smaller dose, so the methadone won't block other opiates unless you take them together, and that is just a guess on my part. When I started Methadone Maintenance, it took a long time to find my blocking dose, so if you are on it for addiction, it takes time, keep working on it with your doctor at the clinic,.
