I recently left the Eastern clinic. Due to my work scheduel starting @ 7A.M. I can no longer make it there. I was wondering if anyone knew of any doctors in town that could help me out. ## Private doctors are not allowed to prescribe it for addiction, that has to be done through a clinic, where they are specially trained to do so. I have been going to a methadone clinic for 7 years i have m\s and it works great for my pain but its 88 miles from my house and the drive is becoming too much. Looking for an Anesthesiologist/board certified in pain management in East TN who will write Methadone for pain. Knoxville, Morristown, Maryville, etc. Have been on it for pain for 17 years. i stated taking done for herion addiction in jan 90 mg but i also suffer from cronic pain in my knees and hands and feet ,my meth maitence clinic gives me 90 mg liquid in the morning 6;30 am but does not give take homs for people with pain or write scripts ,i need a doctor or pain management clinic who will write me a script for methadone or dose in pill form so i can take it in the early evening when the painstarts going back to 100 percent im in constant pain all night waking me up at least 5 times , and standing up to use the bathroom at night takes time when i put pressure on my knees and feet i sometime fall back down on the bed i experimented myself i got extra mehadone in the street once and took a dose 45 mg of liquid in the evenimg and it worked the pain lessend up alot and i s... ...

Ive been goin to a methadone clinic thats a 180mile round trip and currently dont have a car or a way 2 get their so ive been gettin very sick from not having my meds is their any dr.s closer to bedford indiana that i could see on a monthly arrangement ive tried suboxin and it doesnt work for me! ## Hello, Jason! Methadone is the only medication that works for my chronic pain.I had back surgery,knee surgery,fibromyalgia,arthritis,degenerate disc disease, migraines. My daughter has facial pain and a motor cortex brain stimulator which relieves some of her pain. Methadone is the only drug which has allowed her to function, drive go to school, etc. The liquid form works best because it is continuous release. I'm looking for a doc that will perscribe methadone. I recently get a perscription for 70mg a day and when I went to get my last refill he told me I need to find a new doctor that he won't be able to perscribe me anymore because they are changeing the law and for him to prescribe for pain management he had to be a PAIN specialist and then he would loose his mal practice so I'm in a huge bind. I live in Metairie,Louisiana and attend a methadone clinic 25 miles away everyday.I have medicaid and would love a doctor close by or a clinic that takes medicaid.I'm a single mom trying to stay clean from drugs and methadone works but $165 every week plus gas to and from clinic everyday is taking every penny to my name!!!!SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!! ## I live in californa and here it's called medical and it covers the clinic. I have been on methadone for about 6 years and had to start going to a maintenance clinic a few yrs ago after my pain dr lost his license here in Phoenix, Arizona. I tried going to another pain clinic after mine closed but they wanted me off the methadone and forced me to taper off of it in one week and demanded I took gabapentin which DOES NOT work and they didn't care. Anyways, I went to mmt clinic and have been there since but there are so many things wrong with it, I'd end up writing a book. I currently go to the methadone clinic in Knoxville but told them I had drug history so I could get methadone and its just b/c it is the only thing that works for my pain, nothing else works b/c I seem to not be able to take enough of the roxys and morphine but can take 30 mgs of methadone a day and still hurt but am able to live a functional life . I am looking for a private methodone dr I am so tired of having to start my day driving to an hour away one way to a clinic I am a single mom and trying to work as well it is super overwhelming I have tried suboxone and I am back on methodone don't know if there is a way to get it so I only drive once a week or month ## I am in new Hampshire ## I'm not 100% about NH restrictions however in NY methadone can only be prescribe and dispensed at a clinic. Further the FDA requires special provider training in order to prescribe and treat patients with methadone. Many pharmacies do not carry methadone as even when a patient is given an rx for a take home dose it is for 7 days at a time. Further methadone now is very rarely if ever used in tx of pain. I go to a methadone program and have for about 4 years .Ive recently had the flu which causedme to vomit up my methadone (I get 5 take home bottles a week) tried taking another bottle and threw up again im feeling sick from not taking it so I took a 60mg morphine sulfate pill,will this help at all? ## It may help stave off the worst of the withdrawals you could experience, since it is also a narcotic. However, before doing so in the future, you really should call the doctor or clinic you are working with and get their advice, first. Taking another narcotic may not be approved and might get you kicked out of the Methadone program.
