I was on methadone for 13 years for cronic pain but I also have severe RLS and methadone took care of both and gave me my life back but then. My doctor quit without telling anyone and all of a sudden my meds were gone. I was off of methadone all of a sudden with no problems at all and no withdrawal at all. I don't understand why others would have that problem but now I am back in terrible pain and my RLS will not let me sleep more then two hours at a time. I go to a pain clinic but all they will give me is lortab or higher and it helps for 4 hours but I don't like taking it at all. It can hurt your liver. There are many generic manufacturers and each one of them will make a pill that looks different. There are no rules saying that pills with the same ingredient have to look the same! My husband has taken subs on his own in the past and quit oxycodone and did fine. this time around he was taking about 40mg methadone a day. He waited about 50 hrs before starting the bupe. He at first took a quarter and then a half and couldnt really tell a difference so we figured since it wasnt worse he must not be getting perciptated withdrawals. So this evening he has been feeling really awful but it isnt helping him to take bupe .He has done about 2 throughout the day. He is very restless and miserbal he cant sleep he is in a lot of withdrawal. My question is if it was from preciptated withdrawals wouldnt this have happened earlier in the day when he first started to take the bupe. I have been clean from methadone for 3 weeks now, after 10 days I started feeling a lot better. Withdrawals were not too bad, just weak and no energy. I was on them for 3 years and tapered down to 4mg before I completely quit. I feel pretty good id say. But was wondering if i were to take my norco prescription, will i get sick all over again? How long should I wait? Or if i take a methadone will i get sick? ## If you start taking Norco they will probably not make you sick until you stop taking them. I've been going to the methadone clinic for 3 months. My dosage is 60mg daily. I'm working part-time and can't afford it anymore. I've read online about Kratom supplements. Is there a way to stop methadone and combat the withdrawals using Kratom? How would the process work? Plz advise. ## Methadone is an opiate that is used to treat severe pain or drug addiction, with NSAIDs are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories that are used to treat pain, fever, swelling, according to the NIH. I am new to the methadone and was wondering why my doctor would put me on methadone when he knew I had been addicted to Oxycontin before and had to go into the hospital for the withdrawals. They put me on the liquid methadone to get me off of the Oxycontin. How bad is it going to be to get off of the methadone if that time ever comes?
