I take 100mg of the above Metformin 1 time a day with the evening meal. Sometimes the next morning I will notice the undesolved tablest in my stool, especially when I have diarrhea. What can I do to make sure my medication is disolving and taking effect. ## Hello, John! How are you? What you are seeing in your stool is just the outer shell, however, the medication is released and used by your body. Metformin actually tends to have a horrible odor, so some manufacturers use a special outer shell/coating, to prevent people from smelling it. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach pain, flatulence and hypoglycemia. Is there anything else I can help with?

What is the name for Metformin HCL ER TAB 500mg ER in Mexico? ## I can't say for certain, but from what I could gather, Metformina (Glucophage XR) is the correct name for this in Mexico. Are you trying to order it online? ## Similar to your other question, once again, I have to advise you that it's best to just ask for the generic. The regulation of medications in Mexico is very sketchy, at best, so what may be available as a brand name for it today might not exist tomorrow and etc. However, the Spanish names that they use for the generic/active ingredient are usually very similar to what we use in the U.S. and that should enable you to find what you need. Is two 500 hcl metformin the same as 1000 er ## Hi tam, Not entirely. While the dosage certainly adds up to 1000mg, there is still a big difference between immediate release formulas and extended (time-released) formulas. The time-released tablets are more geared towards 24 hour - around the clock pain relief; while the standard immediate release tabs are said to be more ideal for short term pain management patients. Whether you take 500mg or 1000mg of Metformin, the time-release effect will always outlast the immediate release effect in terms of longer pain relief (although some patients claim the immediate release formula to have a stronger effect, since it hits you all at once, per say). I hope this explanation helps! ## Only if they are also time released, since you listed ER by the...

Round small white pill One side blank Other side says H L 0 2 ## Based on the description provided, I believe your pill could potentially be a 500mg Metformin HCL tablet, most notably used for treating type 2 diabetes, but also has a few other off-label uses as well. This particular pill is white and round with the marking H 102 on one side and blank on the other. For verification, it is reportedly manufactured by Heritage Pharma and carries a National Drug Code of 23155-0102. Perhaps the "1" may have been mistaken for a lowercase L ("l")? Just a thought. I hope this helps!
