Are there less gi complications from using the patch than taking the pills? ## In one way or another the drug itself is going to have to metabolize, but I do believe a patch would present less GI discomfort for the sole reason that there are less binders and fillers than there would be in a tablet. It is my understanding that these so-called inactive ingredients are the root cause of many side effects. Not only that, but certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each brand, are actually detrimental to how the drug is metabolized and used by your body. I think that's why so many people react differently to the same medication. The medication is the same, but the binders and fillers are different in each brand. I hope this helps to answer your question! ...

Ha, whoever said Mallinckrodt is better than Qualitest is badly mistaken....The 10mg/325 Norcos by Qualitest are some of the best going....Mallies give people headaches.....I'd give about .50 cents for a 5mg one..... ## The differences people are noticing across one manufacturer to another vary based on so many different factors (i.e. tolerance, age, weight, metabolism, digestive health, mentality, body chemistry, etc) that there is virtually no way to disprove someone's own reasoning / opinion as to why they feel the way they do about one tablet working better or worse than the other. So my thoughts are that whoever said "Mallinckrodt is better than Qualitest" was solely speaking relative to what works for their own body chemistry. I think body chemistry plays a huge ro...

Does alcohol diminish the effectiveness of Amox Clav 875? ## Hi Rudy, According to a medical news article I read, "Drinking alcohol while taking these tablets does not usually cause any problems. However, some people who drink alcohol while taking antibiotics similar to amoxycillin and clavulanic acid have experienced adverse effects." Aside from the typical side effects, I would personally suggest taking it easy on the alcohol for the sole reason that alcohol can be hard on your liver. You want your body's immunity to be at full force when attacking the infection. My theory is if your body is working hard at metabolizing fatty foods, alcohol, or any other substances that aren't "clean", then it's not going to be nearly as efficient when it comes to fighting ...

I took eight dilaudid in one day, last dose at around seven oclock on a Thursday. Monday I peed hot. is it a false positive or was I satill dirty. ## This is obviously an old post but Wow this person expected to pass a urinalysis in 3 days after taking '8' dilaudids! thats just too many. 3 days is not a definite rule of thumb for everything! look up its half life and you take in consideration the amount used, & in some cases the route used, and the person's metabolism and diet & fluids. Even other medications a person is on can metabolize certain other medications quicker. I just wish people wouldn't put so much on the line relying solely on a very generic theory. I'm not saying it's impossible to rid your body of a substance in 3 days, just don't gam...
