Mesacol

I was diagnosed with Crohn's in 1994. It was detected while I was operated for peritonitis. I had been alright but for occasional hospitalization due to severe pain. From last three years I am in India, and my condition is deteriorating fast. Last time I was hospitalized because of severe pain, loss of apatite, vomiting and fever. I was put on Mesacol, however, I do not have any apatite and have nausea most of the time. Pain is lot better. My stool is consistent, unlike other patient, I just need to go to relieve myself one or two times a day only.

I HAVE BEEN ADVICED TO TAKE LAN 30 TWICE DAILY FOR 30 DAYS AND MESACOL 400 THRICE DAILY FOR 45 DAYS FOR TREATING MY BLEEDING PILES. IS IT OK? ANY SIDEEFFECTS ? I m suffering from colitis/crohns disease since 20 years.I m taking mesacol n colospa tabs. Since 6 months my weight is declining.earlier I was 58/56 kgs Now I m 51 kgs.feeling too much weakness.totally I m not comfortable with my health condition.Pl help me.

i am in India and suffering from distal Ulcerative colitis from last 13 -14 years, i am 27years old and from last 7 to 8 year i have been taking Lomotil 1 or 2 tabs every daycause to control diarrea, and from last 3 years i have been taking 1/2 tab of lomotil every morning with mesacol 400mg - ulcerative colitis, and Glyde tabs - for piles, is this dose harmfull for me in FUTURE or should i stop talking lomotil cause of side effects.. I am suffering from ulcerative colitis. ...I take mesacol 400 mg....I felt tired because ; I go toilet 4-5 times in a day...and found white mucus in stool.....how to cure it and how long I can take mesacol tab.

My mother, an ulcerative colitis patient since 2008, has been taking Mesacol od + Azoran for the past 8 months. She has been anaemic for the past 2 months. Her blood count improved after 2 weeks of nutritive food and Haemocal tablets. Is it necessary to visit a hematologist? If yes, have we got something to be worried about? I am scared for her.
