I live in U. S. and I have vertigo for 6 months already. I have taken so many prescribed medication and none of them worked I started using Merislon two weeks ago and it since to work for me , I am feeling much better; the only problem that I have to order it in Dominican Republic. ## Merislon contains the active ingredient Betahistine and it is available in the U.S. by prescription, it's sold under the brand name Serc. Learn more Betahistine details here. As of the last information I can find, it was available at Walgreens, or through most compounding pharmacies. Have you talked to your doctor about prescribing it?

when I take meripex I fall asleep fast but after 2 hours I wake up and can't go back to sleep for 2 or 3 hours. has anyone else had this problem. Also I have had Lap Ban surgery and in 4 months lost 44lbs then I started Meripex and haven't been able to loose any more because I have been composilly eating.can I just cold turkey stop taking the Medicine or do I have to go off slowly. Thanks ## Same thing happened to me. I was only taking .5 mg. The Dr said I needed to take a higer dose. He told me to take 1mg. Maybe that is the problem. There is another drug they can switch to if this one upsets your tummy. Don't remember what it is. Merislon 6 mg. tabs in foil packet was given to me by MD @ McCormick Hospital in Chiangmai Thailand when I had vertigo. It worked well with no side effects. Active ingredient is Betahistinew mesylate. Is Merislon 6 mg. available in retail size (ie 10 to 20 tabs) in U.S.A.? ## No, I'm sorry, there is currently no form of Betahistine that is approved and available in the U.S. The FDA has found the studies that were done on it to be questionable and provide no proof as to its efficacy. I have had meridia in the past and it was alway in capsul form either blue and white or yellow and white but it was way too expensive so i ordered it online and got small orange pills with no writing on it but one side has an octagone imprint around the outside edge. I was on Meridia for 8 years and while I thought at the time it was a life saver (it definitely does work for weight loss and mood stabilization) I now fear it could have had a negative impact on my fertility. Has anyone heard of this as a side effect or suspect it could be a possibility? ## Meridia contains the active ingredient Sibutramine and that is quite a long time to take it and it usually causes the opposite in regards to mood issues. However, since it is not intended to be used for that long of a time period, there have not been any studies done on the long-term possible effects on female fertility. Hi, I turned 50 in Aug 16 and started having hot flushes about a year ago. They occured once or twice an hour each day over a period of about 5 weeks. They would then disappear for 2-3 months. The flushes caused me to feel an overwhelming heat from top to toe and my whole body would become wet and droplets would appear on my face. This would last about a minute or two and then I'd be back to normal. I teach adults so this was somewhat embarrassing during lessons. I am in Merida Mexico, I do not speak Spanish. I have developed a boil. In Canada I have been prescribed Flucloxacillin and Cephalexin at differing times in the past. What would that be called in Spanish? Is it available? ## just in case anyone else finds themselves in this odd and most unlikely position. I went to a Dr. who was trained in the U.S. he told me that Mexico does not have antibiotics of that type or strength. He prescribed POSIPEN which is Dicloxacilina.. a form of penicillin.
